I never knew this existed. The Chinese are surely the most innovative, clever and shameless when it comes to making money. This is so awesome!! These shows are so bad in terms story, acting and budget but super addictive to most likely female audiances. Also their model of bite sized shows that must be unlocked by watching ads is very similar to Webnovels, another popular Chinese genre of media. So, they took the webnovel model of badly written but addictive novels and transported that into tv shows!!

I think this will be the next big thing in the world.

That's funny because on average, Chinese people are taller than Hindus. Recently, I was waiting in line and a Hindu in front of me was telling his friend that he was 6'2". I'm almost 6'1" (without shoes) and I was wearing sandals at the time but I could still easily see the top of his head. They really love to brag, even when they have to lie to do so. Hindus are like stray dogs. They love to bark at you, but most of them won't actually do anything to you.

I must say as a Shanghainese I've long resented Hong Kong buying the best hairy crabs straight from Yangcheng Lake before Shanghai even get a chance. I suppose though if they are in fact paying many times the price that mainlanders pay then fair enough. But looks like even that is changing now.

The purpose of mass entertainment is fun for the audience and money for the producers without inflicting harm.

Audiences like it, producers make money, no one got hurt by it. What's the problem? What's shameless about it? Shameless is making money from propaganda, no rules combat sports, animal cruelty, racism, fear mongering, etc.
