>Junta accuse China of backing former government as they sell out to China
>NUG accuse China of backing Junta and their coup
>EAO accuse China of backing other, more China aligned EAO
>Junta supporter accuse China of backing EAO

Am I missing any?
No wonder why so many burmese people of all etnicity (including the majority myanmar) want to flee to China. I even talked with burmese folk and they told me that the anti China sentiment is riduculas and that they blame China for fucking everything.
The might and power of the People's Republic is such that it backs every side for every single ideological purpose imaginable.
Even though it sounds funny, but this China is behind everything is also exploited by Burmese nationalists to advance their minority ethnic cleansing agenda. Apparently sinophobia is rampant in Myanmar too.

Not surprised even tho they're also sino-tibetan. Really sad. british classic divide and conquer even tho ironicly they littelry call Chinese Paupkuaw which translate to brother. Maybe the northern ethnic groups one day could join China.

From the west to the east, looks like more and more people are becoming too eager in making China a scapegoat for literally anything bad that happens to them.

And people goes "HoW dArE yOu!" when China massively gears up its nuclear warhead production capacity.

What a read: American hegemony is a necessary and required power to act as the world arbiter of order from disorder and chaos.

Like the US has been holding back on exercising its omnipotent power? Like the US has been showing restraint from abusing its power? It's no different from the US/Japan demanding China to buy Japan's radioactive fish. What are they going to do if China or any other country doesn't obey the US's wishes? Threaten nuclear war? The US is whining about China not helping them out using its influence with Russia over Ukraine. How about how the US wants China to deal with North Korea? Now they're whining about China not using its geopolitical capital on Iran to get them to stop support of Hamas regarding Israel. The US sounds impotent not omnipotent that they need their enemy's help to get what the want.

Over the weekend I got a text in a text chain of friends where I've mentioned before my friend's sister's baby daddy who's a stereotypical US Marine where he annoys everyone with his Republican nonsense. He linked a FOX News article pointing to how Egypt isn't taking in Palestinian refugees like they were hypocrites. I texted back if you want two US allies next door to Israel, Egypt and Jordan, to turn into radical Islamic states, then let them in. I can tell he didn't bother to think about that before because then he then digresses into the Middle East being a problem for everyone not just the US and the West. He wanted the US and Russian and China to get together and turn the Middle East into glass. Now why would Russia and China help the US when Islamic anger is focused mainly on the US and the West? It's because as usual Americans want to spread the pain and suffering and the costs around for what only the US wants. They cannot do it and suffer the consequences alone. Now does all this sound like an omnipotent power waiting to be unleashed...?

Americans are undiscipline thinkers. They don't think about what they say because that's a part of their arrogance. If they think they can do anything they want, then why don't they do it... on their own? Their hesitancy in exercising their omnipotence is because they're scared of the consequences. The Middle East is already looking towards China as an alternative to the US. Is the US going to retract Trump's and Biden's tariffs on China if China goes along? No. Then let them suffer the consequences alone...

Americans are far, far more cultish in almost every aspect of their post-intellect, post-truth society.
A big problem is that some of the cult leaders - CEOs, are real sociopaths.

Let me guess: it's called delusion?

Most Taiwanese do not view US as ‘trustworthy’ but majority believe in its security commitment: survey

  • Washington’s response to Ukraine war cited as reason for mixed views, as island residents ponder what would happen if Beijing engaged them militarily
  • Independence-leaning Democratic Progressive Party’s presidential candidate leads polls, and ‘conflict with China has reached a new dimension’

S.L. Kanthan: Sharma writes some of the dumbest columns. After all, he was the one who predicted that the next global recession would be "made-in-China" - drum roll - in 2015!

What do people Think about William Lai? Is he considered a big threat for China?

Im asking because I am very confused him. I don't think he will be as bad as Tsai was. Because I don't think he is an extreme pro-western pro-US candidate as Tsai. I think he wants to be independent of US influence and US do not trust him that much. That's why he brought up Hsiao Bi Khim as the VP candidate in order to placate the US.

On the other hand, Ko wen-je and Hou yu ih are also not much of a big boon for China. Ko is extremely irratic and he might be pro-China oneday and anti-China the next day.

If KMT or TPP wins, China might be forced to give Taiwan concessions like more access to internal organization like WHO without much concession coming from Taiwan.

It might be better to have Lai in power and having Lai fighting the Pro-US faction and Taiwanese public slowly becoming truly anti-DPP and a better KMT candidate winning the next time. China in the mean time can continue its diplomatic and military pressure going.

The guy doesn't know what the term "only Nixon can go to China" means. It has nothing to do with who's more pro-China or who can negotiate with China. It's the opposite. The reason why only Nixon could go to China was because his reputation was being a big anti-communist hawk. If he went to China, no one could question his loyalty to the US. Biden, for example, can't claim that because the the Republicans already accuse him because of his son's troubles as being paid by China. The Republicans will always accuse him of being an agent of China. Gavin Newsom is a Democrat and the Republicans portray all Democrats as looking out for others before mainstream whites. Look at the propaganda by Republicans on the APEC summit where they pointed out how the homeless and streets were cleaned out for Xi. Liberal San Francisco doesn't do that for the citizens of San Francisco but they'll do it for Xi? And that was Gavin Newsome's order to clean up of San Francisco. That alone tells you Newsome can't be the only one that can go to China. His whole trip to China recently was bashed by Republicans.

The only person that comes closest to fit the bill of "only Nixon can go to China" is Donald Trump. The opposition can claim he's in bed with China too but they don't have the reputation of patriotism themselves. The Democrats on foreign policy follow what Republicans want and they have the reputation of caring about everyone else before America. Look at how many laws Donald Trump is breaking and his followers don't care.
In other words, today "only Trump can go to China".

William Lai is pro-independent candidate and much more so than any other candidates. Hsiao Bi Khim is the extremist and one of the most vocal pro-independent politicians in China. CPC just announced that choosing Hsiao Bi Khim as vice president running mate means separatist plus separatist which is what China has assessed about these two people. Both of William Lai's sons graduated in the US and have green cards and his grandchild is an American so I don't know why you think William is anti-America. AFAIK, there is no anti-American politicians in Taiwan from both blue or green camp.

Ko wen-je and Hou yu won't pursue independent and at most trying to extort some concessions from China. China might not care enough about who got elected but Ko and Hou probably would give China more time to prepare for the eventual conflict and keep peace for a few more years. I do believe China has a timetable for renunification but China definitely wants more time.

Is it just me or do both of the DPP candidates have enormous noses? There's nothing wrong with that, it's just something that I noticed.
