Bahrain has recalled its ambassador to Israel and suspended economic ties with Tel Aviv, the Gulf country’s parliament announced on Thursday.

Israel’s envoy has also departed Bahrain, the parliament said in a statement.

It added that its decision to recall its envoy and suspend economic relations is based on the kingdom’s “solid and historical stance that supports the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.”

The parliament also slammed “Israel’s continuous military operations and escalation amid lack of respect to international humanitarian law,” and called for more decisions and measures to safeguard the lives of civilians in Gaza and across all Palestinian territories.

Bahrain established ties with Israel under the US-brokered Abraham Accords of 2020.

In a similar move, Jordan on Wednesday announced it had recalled its ambassador from Israel and told the Israeli ambassador to stay away in protest at the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

Israel has relentlessly bombed Gaza, killing at least 9,061 Palestinians – mostly children – since a Hamas incursion into the country on October 7. Israeli officials say Hamas killed 1,400 people and took over 200 captive.

BYD can kiss goodbye to the Israel market for sure, a small price in the grand scheme of things.

Not gonna happen without an organized campaign. China's involvement is too remote to the EV buyers.

What shifting production out of China? Told you China haters that it's not just the cheap labour that makes China's manufacturing so successful. It's the entire ecosystem. Government, 5-year plans, infrastructure, education, supply chain, market, down to the average Chinese. Today, China's industrial ecosystem is so far ahead, that it can even manufacture stuff just as competitively with countries with lower labour costs.

Imagine how much more difficult it is to shift out of China the manufacturing of products made of many parts by higher precision machines.

Canadian Heritage is conducting a review to ensure the monument is compatible with 'Canadian values.'

Our dear Nazis need protection from those evil anti-fascists.

Good thing they aren't using that 6 million to help the homeless or something stupid like that

The motion adopted on Tuesday also recommended that the city ask Canada to provide “appropriate support services” for refugee claimants and asylum seekers, reimburse Toronto for the full costs it has incurred supporting them, and provide funding through the Interim Housing Assistance program as well as increase the Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit allocation, notably to match recent provincial and municipal program increases with $6.67 million in funding for 2023.

I'm sure this victims of communism monument that no one asked for will be a much better public good

Basically it's petty warlords fighting each other and fighting the junta, it's just that because a lot of them speak Chinese and are active on Chinese social media people take notice:

They did take over a border town next to China with the closest town building being about 20 step from the border gate. 25% of the trade with China goes through the town to.

China crackdowns on scam call centers which Myanmar and the borders regions are the most proliferate centers of call scams. Most warlords have bailed and handover scammers and ring leaders. However, rumor said that Kokang warlords not only didn't handover scammers but killed some Chinese including undercover Chinese police officials that have revealed their identity.

Soon after such rumor, former Kokang warlord's son, that was ousted in a coup some years ago by Myanmar military with cooperation with his lieutenants, attacked Kokang and wanted to take back his father former enclave. Former Kokang warlord's son in a rally of ending scam call centers in Kokang attacked Kokang and retook some areas.

The short of it is after collapse of Communist Party of Burma a lot of those EAOs formed in the wake. Kokang was one such under control by a group called Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army.

In 2009 the Burmese (pre-junta) government troops attacked MNDAA and the 2nd in command in MNDAA defected to the government side. A new local government was formed and Burmese government troops were stationed in Kokang. MNDAA remnants retreated deep into the mountains to hide.

Neither MNDAA prior to 2009 nor the subsequent government were pleasant people from PRC point of view. MNDAA Kokang's economy was mainly drug trade (80% of it going to China) and post 2009 Kokang's economy shifted to scamming.

Recently MNDAA re-emerged and is attacking what they see as collaborationist and traitors with government troops, using the whole anti-scam thing as their reasoning (and with suspicious amount of Chinese origin heavy weapons). They are making a lot of progress. As far as we can tell their years hiding away in the mountains has lead to some reforms in MNDAA. They have swear off the drug trade and their troops seem highly motivated.

But still, Chinese people shouldn't project themselves into any of these groups. Just look at the response from Wa State the most powerful and most pro-China of the EAOs:

Wa State is calling for ceasefire from both sides, not taking either side, accepting any refugees fleeing Kokang into Wa State and will attack any troops entering their territory.

This is MNDAA calling for "collaborationist forces" to either lay down their arms or rise up and join them to kick out the government troops. They nailed down that Chinese Civil War feel with the language.

As I understand it Kokang people are not just Chinese-speaking, but ethnic Han Chinese people

Wa people are Chinese-speaking, but technically an ethnic minority, although obviously a thin line...

Japan never had the right to do what they did because they were not the originator of East Asian civilization.

China, as the mother civilization of all of East Asia, has a right to creating an East Asian sphere of influence and inducting nation states (by force if necessary) into this order.
I'm sorry but this is some unhinged retarded shit. By your twisted logic, Iraq, which contains Mesopotamia, has the right to direct all humanity by force. The Japanese said something just like you but called it divine right, thus justifying all of their cruelty in Asia. I'm disturbed that your post garnered the support of so many members. The fact is that Japan is a modern sovereign nation. It can refuse to join any Chinese-led coalition, and China has no right to invade it for that choice. If they conduct any military operations against China, especially in the event of a Taiwan conflict, even if they send arms to the ROC or allow the US to use Japanese bases in a conflict, that all changes. But China has no right to answer a polite refusal with military force. If you don't recognize that, then you simply want China to become the monster that it spent decades hating.
