Maybe you meant out of imports, but still nowhere near the definition of “market for themselves”

Ridiculous statement
Those Ford and GM vehicles will be classified as commercial trucks in rest of the world due to there weight and tax write offs on heavy vehicles encouraged there purchase. i will even go as far as most American brands will dominate rental or car sharing. True consumer market with wholly self develop components belong to Korean and Japanese.

Why not, US military personnel are used to getting junk foods anyway.

"The first purchase of seafood by the U.S. under the scheme involves just shy of a metric ton of scallops, a tiny fraction of more than 100,000 tons of scallops that Japan exported to mainland China last year."

Why didn't the US do that in the beginning? The US military is not equal to the Chinese market. It's a smoke screen. You want to guess correctly which path the US will take? It's always the one that perpetuates the belief of white superiority. Americans think they have influence like a rock star. People will follow what they do. First they scold China for not buying Japan's radioactive fish like the Chinese are going to get scared and do what the the West tells them or else... Then they display how they'll eat Japan's radioactive fish like they're so naturally credible and wouldn't lie and deceive that Chinese will feel safe and do what they do. And because that didn't work, now they'll buy Japan's radioactive fish like that'll confirm it's safe to buy. China is their enemy. Like they wouldn't want to poison people they see as lesser than them? Remember right after Fukushima which is closer to Tokyo, there was no trace of radioactivity found in vegetable and fruits in markets in Tokyo. They did find radioactive traces in vegetable and fruits exported to Japan's neighbors. Now how did that happen? Like they wouldn't be able to be in control to do that?

Of course why would the US think they have that kind of god-like influence over the Chinese. It's because China's neighbors are so willing to do that for the US. There must've been some deal behind the scenes the US made with China's neighbors that have been taking a harder stance against China lately and if you've noticed, the US has been going out of their way to speak out for them when they have any complaint about China. The US has to keep its allies happy when they're telling them to poke the eye of their largest neighbor.

Isn't it too late. Beside, both Democrats and Republicans are hell bent to crush China and their constituents are on board.

“China doesn’t want to be stranded alone with no other major power as an ally,” Hill explained. “Xi needs Putin and Putin needs Xi.”

But that creates a problem for the United States, she said: “We’re not going to have any hope of curtailing Russia’s options and getting the Middle East to calm down if we have a super-antagonistic relationship with China.”

She thinks the Biden administration should try a “Nixon to China” effort to reduce animosity, referring to President Nixon's opening of a relationship with Mao Zedong in 1972.

Finally, Hill is worried about one more country: the United States, which is heading toward a presidential election as polarized as ever.

Putin isn’t the only world leader waiting to see how 2024 turns out.

“If the rest of the world thinks every time a new government comes along, we are going to tear up agreements we just made, we won’t be looked at as a very reliable partner,” she warned.
