On the surface, maybe to you but considering that fact that the USA is rapidly losing on every front including both internationally and internally, I wouldn’t say that nothing happened, just not directly in a manner that seems to register to the USA that maybe they should worry about it on a more urgent basis. Plus if something happened to Xi, nukes will fly this time and a new leader in China will emerge work with like minded Russians to turn the nation of the USA into glass. I mean Xi and Putin are literally all that is stopping hardliners like Medvedev from implementing a more bloodier solution regardless of the Consequences to the USAs inability to stop being a global asshole. So if the USA is remotely got two brain cells in their heads, they don’t dare to do anything to really rock the boat. Besides in all fairness, what did Pelosi’s visits do for the USA other then a pride moment and basically leading China to sanction the hell out of Pelosi and her family and pushed China to upgrades its war deployment capabilities along with making it extreme hard for the USA to get into any meaningful dialogue with China that could save their flagging economy from showing the world what would’ve happened if China didn’t save the USA in 2008 (something that is long overdue btw). So really, please look at things on a broader perspective and not from a western only lens because we all can see that nothing they say nowadays can be completely trusted, otherwise, if what they say is true, then Why hasn’t the Ukrainians been able punch all they way to Crimea like the UK has been swearing up and down that it is going to happen, for literally 4 months as of now
