Two sources familiar with the incident who spoke on condition of anonymity said a San Francisco police officer shot a person near the Chinese consulate, which is located at the corner of Geary and Laguna Streets.

A person reportedly smashed their vehicle into San Francisco's Chinese Consulate building on Monday, according to a local media report.

The person driving the car was also suffering from a gunshot wound, according to KTVU. It is unclear whether the gunshot was self-inflicted.
