Rumour I heard was it will ban US investment into companies where the majority business is to do with things like quantum computing or AI, note the word majority. If true then this would be a make job program for accountents to see how creatively they can structure Chinese companies to stay under the limit.
"Why yes this potato farming business does have a minor branch doing quantum computing, purely for potato and potato related research you understand."
This is just a mental self-gratification exercise by the US elites who are so far up their own butts they still think America is the world’s only source of capital and technology.
They are also the typical silver-spoon-trustfund brigade that hasn’t done a day’s actual work in their lives and thus has a massively inflated and distorted idea of what ‘investment’ means and does, since ‘investments’ from mommy and daddy’s companies is the only way they became ‘self-made’ millionaires themselves.
That is why they are so indignant at China’s rise, because they projected themselves onto China and think that China didn’t actually do any work, and that everything China has today was handed to them on a silver platter by the west, just like their own personal original stories (which, ironically, seems to actually match Jai Hind expectations, which is unsurprising if you think about it in this context since Jai Hinds are also sliver spoon brigades).
To mirror their own deep-rooted insecurities, they also think that China would become nothing again if they pulled the plug on all the ‘investments’ (handouts in their experience and thus thinking).
This is also precisely why these talentless inbred, insecure idiots are elevated to high office in the west - their lack of talent and crippling hidden self-doubt makes them both highly easy to manipulate, and also trivially simple to replace in case they are too stupid and/or stubborn to play ball.
Incidentally, this is also why we are seeing such a hard push against any sense of science and reason in the US, because people with scientific backgrounds trigger the insecurities of US elites super hard since they have objectively demonstrable skills, qualifications and worth, something the US elected elite both deeply envy and fiercely hate because they don’t have the ability to attain such validation themselves.
If you view the world through their warped lenses, some of the more crazy ideas and decisions start to make an iota more sense. Let’s not get crazy ourselves, none of it still remotely makes actual real-world sense, but at least you can somewhat see what their ‘reasoning’ is.
