I do not for a second believe the anglos are going to leave Taiwan without a fight and allow China to retrieve it. Their nature is to destroy that which they cannot have, look how they tried to destroy Afghanistan continue to fund Islamist CIA terror groups.

Japan would have lost out anyway due to its demographic limitation. US made its decline orderly.
People laugh at Hispanics before now now look there population growth and real investments in southern US States and Mexican FDI that is complementing each other. Japanese and Koreans are benefiting from it as they have industrial investments across both sides of the border.
Russia/Soviet very different. Japanese or Korean can do initial investment but practically zero chance that investment can prosper.
