NV: I spoke on air with my colleague, Israeli journalist Sergei Auslander, and this is what he said about Jews now living in Russia: listen, you need to leave. Because they have already moved against LGBT people, broken up all the liberal media, and shut down everyone who opposes the war. In his opinion, they will go on to move against the Jews. How big do you think this threat is?
Bleich: There is a large movement of Jews from Russia who are leaving. Many of them, after receiving an Israeli passport, returned to Russia, as they needed a passport so that one day they could leave. But it seems to me that it is now most dangerous for Jews in Russia, far more so than in Ukraine. And what will happen if Russia now loses the war? Whom will they blame? It seems to me that it would be very easy to say that the Jews were responsible.
