What's the point of releasing this? To show China is so powerful PLAN can bully USN with impunity now?
How does this help the US? Did Canada jump the shark here?

Or are they just going for the Cultural Revolution strategy of yelling "Down with Chinese Revisionism" and "Smash the dog heads of Chinese Imperialism" in People's Daily? Cos that's what you do when you're too weak to make a meaningful move.

What's the point of releasing this? Yeah, exactly.

I do not know why the Canadians released the video. I do not know why the Canadians would tag along in such a move. I do not know why the Canadian media would be present recording everything. I do not know why that the reporters would release what they filmed.

The United States top military guy said to the world in public at a major security conference meeting that the United States will not tolerate bullying from China against other small countries in the region.

Here is direct evidence that China is actually trying to bully the United States.

The Chinese did not release any videos. The Canadian press did.

Seems like someone is not on the same page.

This has some very uncomfortable implications… how often is US law enforcement running DNA checks? How much access do they have to “private” DNA databases? Do they have access to international users’ data?
More concerning is the Anglo predilection for gene select ethno-bioweapons, as the Russians have discovered in several US funded facilities in Ukraine.

If the US knew it was losing and it was over for them, the US be for scorched earth. They would take everyone down with them. That's what the Chinese don't understand how Americans think. So thinking the US thinks more about the well-being of the world as a whole doesn't calculate in their thinking so appealing to Americans' sense of humanity doesn't work. Just look at what's happening now. The US is okay with sacrificing it's allies' well-being for what the US wants. That's what US allies are complaining about.

What China should be doing instead is talking about how much Americans are personally going to lose. As Mao said, "One death is a great tragedy. Ten thousand deaths is only a statistic." What made Americans turn against the Iraq War? It was when the American media was no longer lionizing every KIA the US suffered and the only people left to morn were only the family. This is when Americans say to themselves, "Why did these Americans have to die?"

You want to look at it at a smaller scale? Just look at how the West is changing their language from decoupling from China to de-risking. You think they did that because they saw how it would hurt everyone since China is the world's economic engine? No they did it because they suddenly realized how much they were going to lose if China decoupled with them. Like I said before in this forum, they can stop selling advanced technology to China. What is their definition of "advanced technology"? It's as simple as they have it and no one else does. It means also what they still expect to sell to China are the things that China can get somewhere else meaning the West makes zero-money from the largest and still growing market in the world. They're going to lose big time.
Indeed, you want the level of fear from these Anglo Americans such that they frag their own officers before going in to fight the enemy, as we're seeing in Ukraine and where the term first arose during the Vietnam war.

“We will, I hope, soon see American officials engaging at senior levels with their Chinese counterparts over the coming months to continue that work. And then, at some point, we will see President Biden and President Xi come back together again,” Sullivan told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria in an interview on “GPS” that aired Sunday.

Is this what engage China from position of strength looks like?

to the Indo-Pacific for several months – a visible sign that Germany is on the side of its international value partners for freedom of sea routes and compliance with international law in the region. The ship's crew also used the mission to practice with international partners, such as the naval forces of Australia, Singapore, Japan and the United States.

This was followed in 2022 by the largest deployment in the history of the Air Force: around 250 soldiers, six Eurofighters, four A400M transport aircraft and three A330 aircraft were deployed at Rapid Pacific in the Indo-Pacific region. The Eurofighters reached Singapore within 20.5 hours and, after landing, took part in the multinational exercises

in Australia. Part of the contingent then visited Japan and South Korea.

For this year, the participation of German paratroopers and forces of the sea battalion in the Australian exercise Talisman Sabre 23 is planned. "We are present and will continue to be so in the future," Pistorius said – multilateral, inclusive, in partnership, embedded in Europe and "above all, not directed against anyone".

In 2024, the German Navy will once again fly the flag in the Indo-Pacific: Under Japanese leadership, a frigate and a task force supply ship will be involved in monitoring compliance with the United Nationssanctions against North Korea and participate in the U.S.-led large-scale multinational maritime exercise, the Rim of the Pacific. The Air Force plans to participate in the Pitch Black exercise in Australia again in 2024.

Someone please kindly tell the German that since their warships were built post atomic age, the steel isn't valuable for salvage in the SCS.

2015: Bridge construction starts
2020: Completion date missed.
2022: Bridge collapses
2023: Bridge collapses again.
Price Tag = +$200 million USD.

That bridge isn’t going to be finished until the early 2030s at the minimum lmao. Price tag will probably be almost $500 million by the time it is operational.

The can just join China's BRIC and get it done easily.

Three Israeli soldiers killed near Egypt border

Three Israeli soldiers have been killed by an Egyptian security officer in exchanges of fire on the Israeli side of the border.
Egypt says its officer crossed into Israel while chasing drug traffickers.
The Israeli military has said the shootings were assumed to be connected with a drug smuggling operation it had thwarted overnight.
According to the army, two Israeli soldiers - a man and woman - posted in a remote spot along the border were shot dead early on Saturday morning.
Their bodies were discovered after a senior officer was unable to contact them by radio.

Hours later, after a search operation, the alleged attacker was encircled and there was a shootout, the Israeli military says.
A third soldier was killed, along with the gunman, who it said was an Egyptian policeman. Another soldier was wounded in that exchange.
