Three members of a Korean-American family were among the victims killed during a mass shooting at an outlet mall in the U.S. state of Texas over the weekend.

According to the Dallas office of the South Korean consulate in Houston on Sunday, a couple in their 30s, identified by surnames Cho and Kang, along with their three-year-old child, died during Saturday's shooting at Allen Premium Outlets near Dallas.

The couple's other five-year-old child was seriously injured and is currently receiving medical treatment. The family, all U.S. citizens, reportedly resided in Dallas.

According to local media reports, a man immediately started firing gunshots at people at around 3:36 p.m. Saturday, local time, after stepping out of a vehicle in front of the outlet mall.

Eight people were killed, with at least seven others injured. The shooter was killed by a police officer who was in the area.

Authorities have identified the man as 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia, with some reports suggesting he had links to far-right organizations.
3 Koreans dead in Texas shooting most likely due to white nationalism

It's crazy how Koreans still don't get that by spreading sinophobic propaganda, they're putting themselves in harm's way as well. The more whites hate China, the more of such incidents are going to happen.

In reality, the Asian-American community as a whole is extremely fragmented and laced with self-hate and trauma. Their various ethnic groups hate each other more than they hate non-Asian supremacists. The younger generation is significantly better than the older ones, who will make any self-respecting people cringe, but still have traces of the self-hate and trauma.

China is doing the current South Korean administration no favors. They’ve already been pushed out of most technology industries and the restrictions on Korean popular media are still in place. It’s only in areas like chips where China doesn’t have an effective local replacement that South Koreans are still allowed to operate; there’s not much more China can do except keep pushing its own industrial competitiveness so that it can replace Korean companies globally as well.
As I said about China. I talk about the OP and some naive attitude on this forum.

25 years of bad decisions after bad decisions and they keep taking more bad decisions. Considering how productive the populace is, the wasted potential is incredible. They were among the pioneers of large-scale solar and wind installment. But they (and the rest of Europe in general) lost 20 years because of nuclear, coal and gas lobbies.
Its not really German productivity. they held rest of Europe along with Turkey hostage to serve them. Those who understand it they have zero appreciation for Germany regardless how eloquent language German leaders use. Trump already indicated what he expect from Norway.

“The Europeans really need to do more [on Ukraine]. I mean, this is their continent. The U.S. has provided security for them. And yes, Poland — there’s some that are doing stuff, and that should be appreciated. But Germany, they’re not doing anything,” DeSantis said.
