Not like the Sudanese were going to let them back in after the stunt they pulled a couple days ago by landing British troops without permission. They basically blockaded an airport for half a day to all the other foreign nations lmao.

UK accused of delaying German evacuation efforts

They allege British forces landed in Sudan without the Sudanese army's permission - as other European nations were hoping to airlift citizens to safety.

Germany, among others, had planned to use the airfield north of Khartoum from which subsequent evacuation operations have been conducted.

But, the sources say, the "unannounced British military presence" so angered the Sudanese army that they refused access to the facility.
According to one source, having landed without permission, the British had to pay the army before leaving.

Getting your order of events mixed up. The recent hostilities are because the Philippines has invited the American military so now China has to show them that they stand only to lose if they think that the US will keep China down in Asia. Without this, China can be generous and discuss any issues. Now, China can only treat them with hostility.

It’s not the first time that person intentionally discards any context and cherry picks info to suit his own narrative.

Another tense stand off in the SCS between China and the Philippines. And we are wondering why a small, weaker country like PH are granting the US more bases.

Nothing new comrade.

The laser pointing incident was not too long ago, and the same tactics used by China Coast Guard blocking Philippines ships were done.

The only interesting part is that China is wanting to draw the Americans into a confrontation here. The Philippines want to draw the Americans to be behind them in a confrontation here. The only people who do not want a confrontation here, are the Americans, the same Americans who are apparently fanning the flames of brinkmanship in the region.

American credibility is at stake here, and they apparently do not know what to do.

First, last week, China bans transactions with two American defense companies. In other words, no more rare earth for them.

The this week, China gives another opportunity for the Americans to respond, to another perceived Chinese transgression.

This is happening because the Philippines is helping the US. I am not endorsing this and countries aren't entitled to secure backyards. But US' ultimate goal is keeping 1.4 billion poor so I can't get angry at China.

As I said, everyone is busy looking at Taiwan as the powder keg waiting to explode when I think the real shitstorm is the current Philippine government headed by what I can only describe as the avatar of corruption backed by delusional group of American sycophants still living in their romanticized past where America heroically rescued the damsels in distress (Philippines) from the blood thirsty Japanese invaders. This time, it's the godless Commies that's intent on invading their country and owning the "Pearl of the Orient" as the Filipinos lovingly label their country as such.

A small confrontation with the Americans, could work for China.

But, not sure is there is such a thing as a small confrontation between China and America.

China has made some deep in roads into South America, which the Americans think is their backyard.

China has become a real force in West Asia, a force for peace a development, sidelining the usual American security and war narratives for the region.

A confrontation between China and America, is suppose to give the partners of China, that the Chinese will be there standing their ground against any American malfeasance.

So we see what happens.

China will continue to bait the Americans here over this Philippine small islands dispute.

Not sure if the Americans would show up to contest it.

If they show up to contest it, there will be two outcomes.

1) China will spray them with the water cannon to hilarious laughter worldwide.

2) A military confrontation between China and America over something this small, will only reinforce stereotypes of the Americans being warmongers. War or peace? What is South America and West Asia interested in?

3) If the Americans do not show up for this military confrontation on behalf of Marcos Jr, that is a bad look, that's for sure.

:D

By 2050 India could have 1.6 billion to China's 1.2 billion. Assuming the Indian Communist Party is as competent as its Chinese counterpart, that's a big problem for China.

It's like US/China today, except worse because India/China are right next to each other.
There is no Indian Communist Party and it wouldn't matter how competent they were. India needs a couple of millennia of existing as a unified state rather than the hodgepodge of principalities along a British railway line it is before it can even see China's level.

Guess the US Congress played the wrong war game recently. Philippines with their pag pag eating military is the most loudly barking chihuahua that's going to get them to commit first lol.

Philippines is the odd man out.

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, what these three countries have in common is that this past month or two all of them are deepening their monetary relationship with China, to use more Yuan and local currencies in their trade.

Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, firmly in the orbit of the Chinese economy, and everyone is along for the ride.

Myanmar, too isolated, needs China.

Singapore and Burnei, they have a voice but really are too small, they will follow along to what the majority wants.

ASEAN is integrating with China in more and more ways, except for one country who invited a well known belligerent to be more involved in the region. The Philippines is totally isolated with ASEAN. For ASEAN, the Philippines could be the new Myanmar.

If China wants a confrontation with the Americans, this is the place to do it, because Philippines is so isolated.

In short, everyone is playing their own game here. China would want to leverage this small incident for a wider global audience for a global impact. Philippines just a player in a small but real dispute with extremely narrow goals. America, no one knows what the plan is, as they say America does not have a China strategy.
