Well what happened to Trump making a comeback? Now he just doomed himself a chance at comeback. Fox News said he was supposed to be the future of the GOP for the time being for making the GOP special again. Anyway we wanted Trump to be back in 2024.

I think the liberal part of the MSM and western establishment have always downplayed or been in outright self-denial about the extent of Trump’s grassroots support and appeal to huge sways of the American population. That feeds through to even people here.
When you see US capital police literally open the gates to let the pro-Trump crowd in and taking selfies with them, that’s not because of some secret Order 66 from Trump, but because they are genuinely on the side of the Trumpsters.
It’s ironic that in denying that fact, much of the efforts made to try to counter Trump in the last few weeks and days may now specifically backfire.
I have always said the left is in serious trouble if the US authorities stay out of an outright fight between them and Trump supporters. Thus the 10 former US secretaries of defence were actually doing Trump a huge solid when they jointly signed a letter saying it would be unconstitutional for the US military to be involved in any election dispute. Just like with the police, support for Trump at the grass roots level in the US military is way higher than what most would expect or even believe.
Now with twitter gagging Trump and Pence looking to take over via the 25th, if that actually happens, I think there would be a good chance a lot of Trump supporters will see that as an outright coup and respond accordingly.
What happens when Trump’s 100k loyal followers stop being so restrained and peaceful and actually whip out all their assault rifles and other quasi-military gear almost all of them have? And what happens when US police melts away or outright joins them?
Deployment of the national guard, especially out of state national guard, to D.C. and having them get involved in large scale firefights with tens of thousands of American citizens in the American capital. That’s the kind of thing that could genuinely kick off an actual civil war.
The Democrats need to be less ideologically blind and a hell of a lot more practical and less emotional or else they risk forcing Trump into a corner from where he has nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Pence is a sycophant himself. He becomes President and he will have a pardon for Trump that's will be more legal than a pardon Trump gives himself. Just look at Ford giving Nixon a pardon before any indictments were even made.
