TikTok in America is not some small outlet with a headcount of several hundred Chinese H1-B's reporting to Mainland HQ, it is a legit operation employing 8,000 people. And unlike Baidu, which only Chinese people use and would want to work for, TikTok is the most recognizable Chinese brand in America so the workforce is very diverse. So in Tom's eyes, everyone from a fresh out of college engineer who wanted the distinction of working for such a recognizable global brand, to somebody who simply spent a few months on contract maintaining the snack room, is committing treason.

I know the general wisdom is that its better for Republicans to win 2024, since they'll deal a deathblow to American soft power and democracy. And that may be so, but do understand that anyone with a yellow face in America will most definately start having to wear yellow stars on their arms.

I thought I do a pretty good parody of red blooded murican patriot but Tom managed to even top that. That takes real talent. Doesn’t have anything to do with governing though. Maybe we can swap places so he could mod shitpost in the forum while I run things in his state?

If you could only endure the cringe on TikTok for 12 seconds, how long do you expect to last on Capital Hill? I think you might exceed your lifetime safe exposure of cringe even before you managed to reach your office.

Yeah but I get paid to pretty much do nothing so I could just zone out during meetings and pretend that I am doing something productive, like setting random junk on fire with a blow torch.

Careful now, that kind of initiative and creativity will see you on the fast track to a cabinet post. Then you will have to endure Biden’s verbal and mental diarrhoea up close and personal. Might be worth investing in some industrial strength hair dye.

Maybe that’s why Macron is going to China and bring with him the CIA agents running the EU. He is planning on defecting to China and will present Xi with the heads of America’s top agents in the EU as tribute before his own peasants can take his head.
