Wanna-be little Napoleon's trip to Africa is going to be a big success...

This appears to be from 2018. Here is a longer video for more context:

Most peoples from formerly colonised nations dislike being told what to do by patronising westerners. China just needs to live up to the promises of its trade/investment relationships with developing nations: win-win cooperation, respect for sovereignty and dignity of even small nations, negotiation in good faith regarding concerns that arise over time (e.g. making use of local labour where possible). It is if and when those things break down that western "concern trolls" have their opportunity.

Let these two examples be a lesson to some members here instead of getting holed up in the basement.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: "If you believe the US has the right to declare a threat to its national interest any place on Earth, like they did in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Lybia, Syria, 10,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, that they have the right to do so, and you don't ask them any questions, and Russia, not just overnight, like they did in Iraq and elsewhere, but for more than ten years, warning them, guys, you are doing something which is going to be very bad... not across the ocean, but just on our borders, on territories where Russians lived for centuries and centuries... If this is not a double standard, then I am not a minister."

Okay let's dwell who American will support, like I said Malaysia existence is due to US protection, without it, it will be balkanized. The Philippine legally had solid claimed, now if conflict do happen in the future which I know it will because most residents of Sabah are of Tausug ethnicity with family ties from Sulu, Jolo and part of southern Mindanao as part of Sultanate of Sulu empire. With peace agreement between the Government under Duterte and MILF, the focus now is on reclaiming Sabah. The Malaysian knew this and are funding the ABU SAYAF terrorist group using Sabah as a sanctuary with explicit agreement with US. Now the Americans are playing a double game, the additional EDCA access bases will be develop in Palawan and certain part of Southern Mindanao, the Palawan part I can understand due to its proximity in the SCS BUT Southern Mindanao? The Maranaos and Tausugs surely know their history and they will not forget cause they weren't conquered. Muslim nationalism is strong there and most of Mindanaoan are staunch Filipino nationalist (Duterte anti American stance is an example of public sentiment there) because they see people in Luzon as part of American Imperialism with Christianity as their spearhead tool to pacify the natives by transplanting Christian settlers. They term the people from Luzon as Imperial Manila, as most decision making policy is formulate there without consulting them. So in conclusion there is deep divide when talking about Pro American tendency , of the Three main Island Luzon is the most develop and the Capital Manila or NCR contributes 55% of our GDP as most of the political elites and oligarch lived there, managing their land holdings in the confine of their luxury offices while the Serfs are doing the hard work. You can see the imbalances and their gripes (Visayas and Mindanao) are not being heard, As both Islands are at the bottom of development with most of their resources are being channel back to Manila. There is a common joke among the residence of Mindanao, I think @Bellum_Romanum , @PhSt , @Coalescence and @BlackWindMnt know this, ;) Since Mindanao is rich in resources, the huge timbre revenue Manila gets in return Mindanao get a tiny Toothpick.

It's ironic, the oligarchs and the Americans hate Duterte so much that they vow it will never happened again BUT he saves both of them because the Philippine before his term is ripe for a violent revolution and dismemberment.

The complains about profits being leeched to manila and Luzon i was aware off. If i'm not mistaken wasn't also not the main complain for Duterte to push for a federation of islands? Instead of the centralised current system which makes it easier for the US to keep control over the Philippines corrupting one place is always easier than having to corrupt multiple places.
