In business news, it looks like APPLE is going to involve itself in AR business teaming up with yet another commie company to help them build this very expensive piece of hardware. Why couldn't they build this thing in India? I thought Apple is decoupling from China?

Apple to team up with Chinese supplier on AR devices
Apple Inc. will reportedly team up with China's tech manufacturing company, Luxshare, to develop augmented reality (AR) gadgets, Nikkei Asia wrote on Thursday quoting people familiar with the matter.

"Apple's first generation of AR devices will be extremely expensive, and really only can attract those passionate tech geeks or premium customers," sources told Nikkei Asia. "But Apple hopes to push the price down in the second generation of devices, which is in parallel development, to a more affordable price, like a high-end Mac computer, and hopes to attract a bigger user base," they added.

Namely, Luxshare has aquired the Shanghai-based AR development team previously owned by Taiwan's Pegatron, iPhone maker's first supplier for virtual reality gadgets.

You know how in triad movies the big boss always put forward a warm friendly demeanor, and he's got this really fierce underling who's always waving knife/gun around and yelling at people to listen up when the boss talks, and the boss will then tell him off and say he needs to be more respectful?

This is how gangsta Xi is these days, he's got Lukashenko (freshly minted all-weather strategic partner) playing that act now:
China has become a global country with its own global policy. I know that today or tomorrow Xi Jinping will make a statement or speech on the conflict in Ukraine. Please note that this is such an unusual step for Chinese politics. The Chinese are always neat, cautious. There, where they don’t need to, they don’t go in. If they understand that this will not give the desired, required result, they will also not take steps in this direction ... And if this message, which will sound from the lips of the leader of China, will not be heard by those to whom it is addressed, this will also have serious consequences. Therefore, just looking ahead, I advise those to whom Xi Jinping's words are addressed to take them seriously and take certain steps. This will be a serious voice for the sake of peace in this region. -Lukashenko

Aleksandr Lukashenko: if China's position on the conflict in Ukraine is not heard, it will lead to serious consequences

No global issue can be settled without China today – as noted by President Aleksandr Lukashenko in his talk with the Chinese media. In particular, Xinhua’s head of the correspondent office in Belarus, Lu Jinbo, asked of the Belarusian leader’s view on China's current role in resolving international issues.

“I assess [its role] very simply,” the Head of State said. “No issue in the world can be solved today without China. China has become a global country, with its own global politics. I know that, today or tomorrow, Xi Jinping will make a statement on the conflict in Ukraine. Please note that this is an unusual step for Chinese politics. The Chinese are always careful, cautious, and they do not interfere into unnecessary affairs. If they understand that no desired result will be produced, then they will take no steps in this direction. Actually, if China decided to voice its position in this way, by top official, Xi Jinping, then this will have serious consequences. If the message voiced by the leader of China is not heard by its addressees, then this will also have serious consequences. Therefore, I am simply looking ahead and advising those to whom Xi Jinping's words will be addressed to take them seriously and take certain steps. This will be a serious voice for peace in this region.”

The President Lukashenko stressed, “It is clear that this will not be a statement for confrontation, as the US President did in Kiev – [saying] ‘continue the war, attack and kill each other, and we will give you something to kill with, we will give you weapons’. I am sure this speech will crown China's peace-loving policy. I am one hundred percent convinced of that. It just cannot be otherwise. This is an example of a peaceful policy.”

This makes my blood boil. U.S. is making a mockery out of China's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Literally the same playbook they used in Ukraine. Poke and provoke until China decides to take things into its own hands (hopefully it will) and then we'll be hearing about "cHiNa'S bRutal aNd uNprOvOkEd WaR oF aGGrESsioN".
Exactly what they're condemning Russia for doing, except China never expressed an intent or made policies to genocide the people in Taiwan province.

Shows that America is hollow in terms of values. They have no commitment to international law.

Given the current trend, they must take the step and attack sooner or later. When the seas of Asia are filled with the bodies of invaders and artifical reefs from their aircraft carriers, then will the relatives of invaders back home in America lament that they did not do enough to stop their government.

Here's the thing
This is like a 5'4", 110 lb. guy throwing some eggs at a 6'5" 250 lb. guy.

The little guy is laughing and calling the other one names, and the big guy has to do his best to stop himself from stomping the crap out of the little guy because he knows he will feel bad about it after.

The disparity might not be like this between the US and China, but if China acts, it will be for the survival of the country. The US always has the option to not fight China over Taiwan. It might look bad, but losing would be far, far worse than not fighting.
