So, the US is now trying to throw Ukraine under the bus.

Fiona Hill is a foreign affairs specialist and former advisor to Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump.

Who do you think blew up the Nord Stream Two pipeline? Was it the Russians? Do you think there’s a chance that it was the Americans?

FH: Initially, I did think it was the Russians. There was just so much about the whole eruption that reminded me of the kind of sabotage the Soviets undertook during the Second World War, and that Putin’s father was actually engaged in during the siege of Leningrad. He talks a lot about how his father was part of a destruction battalion, going behind enemy lines and getting rid of any infrastructure the enemy could use. And there was just something about the way Putin talked about it that made me think the Russians did this — that they think this will teach the West a lesson.

Now, I’m not so sure. I don’t believe it was the United States. If the United States had done that, by now, somebody would have laid claim to this. The United States can be a leaky sieve in terms of information. Some of my colleagues who have been looking at this think Ukraine could have done it. And this isn’t implausible, because they already managed to launch a pretty significant strike on the Kerch (Crimean) Bridge, but I haven’t seen any evidence.

FS: Do you believe Ukraine has the capacity?

FH: That’s why I initially didn’t think that it could be Ukraine, because I wasn’t sure they could have had the capacity. But it’s possible that Ukraine could have found a way of doing this: we’ve seen them be extremely inventive. But I just want to make it very clear that I absolutely do not know who carried this out. And I think that we actually should continue to look at this. And I’m certainly ready to concede that my initial suspicion that it was the Russians is wrong.

Australia, Philippines Eyes Sea Patrols Amid China Tensions

Australia and the Philippines are considering joint patrols in the South China Sea, their defense ministers said Wednesday, as the Southeast Asian nation reported continuing presence of suspected Chinese vessels in contested waters.
Australia also wants to pursue more military exercises with the Philippines, Defense Minister Richard Marles said in a briefing after meeting with Filipino counterpart Carlito Galvez Jr. The two nations plan to sign a strategic partnership later this year, the Australian official said.
“Both the Philippines and Australia are completely committed to a global rules-based order. It is deeply connected to our respective national interests,” Marles said.

To be fair, he is literally called out in the very next paragraph

In general , its not called out, you always see retarded accusation in every english written article with even a hint of "China"
A bit of exaggeration but this is how I read most english China related article:
"Well , BYD will be a great car for consumers .... WHATABOUT 1989/Uyghur/Tibet/Hong Kong/Taiwan??? .... msrp is targeted as 32000$ "

The US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro is coping real hard LMAO

Quoting one of Del Toro's statements:

After having forced/slave/child labor making solar panels and EV batteries in China, now we have Chinese warships built using forced/slave/child labor.

What's next? Hualong nuclear reactors? SMIC semiconductor chips? Long March rockets?
Not gonna lie, I'm shuddering that SecNav is high on their own copium.

If they're bothering with making a big proposal, surely it has to be a bit more than please stop fighting and come to China for negotiations? I guess we'll see soon enough.
Nobody is making a proposal, you severely over interpreted what China has said. See what MOFA speaker say about the document.

The Chinese definition of this document is 立场, which is position (of China). It represents how China look at and think of the issue. It means nothing of proposal for a peace negotiation. The word proposal is 建议 in Chinese, a totally different thing. As it is just an opinion, China doesn't need to do anything other than asking them to negotiate.

Of course, the best is as you said wait and see, but it is important to make clear of what China has done and not done.

Oh I'm sure there are plenty of unskilled labor positions in a navy shipyard, that can be filled by prison labor. Remember, everything the US accuses China of, they're doing it themselves. That's how they come up with these accusations in the first place.

I think the reasoning goes something like "if a beacon of freedom like us do something like using prison labor, an authoritarian hellhole like the PRC must be doing it on a scale that's 100 times worse".

Wang Yi meeting Hungarian FM, he said "中国将与匈牙利等国努力促成俄乌停火", China will work with countries like Hungary to reach cease fire between Russia and Ukraine.

I have a feeling that China intends to have Hungary to play the role of mediator. Some reasons,
  1. Hungary is NATO member, it is hard for the west to blame Hungary of being biased than blaming China. They will still blame Hungary but much less resistance.
  2. Hungary is more Russia friendly, it is the best choice for China and Russia than anyone else from the west.
  3. Hungary is probably the only country that is acceptable by both sides as a mediator once they are tired of fighting. Pretty much like Sweden and India during the Korean war.
  4. To counter Poland's political influence in eastern Europe. A more prestigious Hungary in post war eastern EU better serves China's interest than a US proxy Poland. This is the long term goal of China.
