If Morrioson took offence with a "fake photo", perhaps he should be ok with a real photo instead?

So as well as US dollar going into Hong Kong, it looks like US got a bottomless pit full of money, and the Aussies welcome it with open arms.

Can you provide a link to the first image. I think I would like to send it to our PM who has come out and condemned China for posting false images?

Seriously man... I get that you are on the West’s side and to you China’s actions are naturally bad on all fronts but do you really even need to ask this question at all?

Would you take a supposed ‘olive branch’ from the very party that initiated the conflict, and is suffering for it, whilst still not apologising at the very least... constantly getting in your face, being aggressive, calling you all sorts of things and verbally abusing you on a daily, if not weekly basis... this is not the ‘free’ media but government officials and the leader of those government officials when in an official capacity.

I really would like to understand... is everything ok until the other party literally put a knife at your throat and slit it? Quite the appropriate question, if I do say so myself... I consider myself pretty centralist and neutrally objective when looking at most things, but even I can tell how obviously un-‘olive branch’ like this ‘olive branch’ is...

Since you said "I really would like to understand" I will answer you:

An olive branch is just an opportunity to stabilize the situation and start talks. As such, it can be accepted at any time, as nothing is lost by merely opening communication. Further, I would not expect China to ever apologize and nor can we expect Australia to... national leaders don't apologize to other countries usually without major concessions. Morrison needs to look strong to save face. What should China do? China should have just refrained from doing more provocative actions while agreeing to start talks on the list of grievances it released earlier this month. The Australian side was willing to discuss it but claimed China didn't answer the phone.

As far as having a long period of punishment to teach them a lesson... trying to run foreign relations by fear will also breed resentment. Sure in the short term, you may accomplish your goal, but in the long run it will just turn more people against China.

This is spreading like wildfire and even on BBC and DW, which are western sources of news, the opinion is turning dramatically against Australia. Please share to your social media accounts.
I haven't seen any opinion on the BBC going against Australia.

I don't understand why China is being so hostile? After all Scott Morrison just reached out with an olive branch. This is like slapping his hand down. What does China gain from this?
Actually Zhao just trolling and ScoMo hooked the bait. He's only tweeting, not having a press conference to show the picture. Imagine if Xi had press conference to denounce Kayleigh McEnany, whole world would just die laughing.

If ScoMo doesn't respond or simply emphasize Australia investigation on that matter, it will just embarass Zhao instead.

P.S. Have you seen the Sec State twitter feeds recently. The amount of hostility towards China are incomparable, yet I don't see Xi complains about it.

Most Western media and leaders keep insisted it is a fake image. The fact is this image is a satirical artwork not a photo and intended to be such. Do the media and the politicians know this simple fact. Of course, they do but they play dumb and try to stir the conversation towards China posting a fake photo to taint Australia's reputation. The truth doesn't matter as average Joe doesn't have the comprehensive knowledge to see beyond the deflection and lie.
