Sweden - Land of the Burning Books.

Seriously, did the cold weather above the Arctic Circle messed up their minds or something?

Sweden has been cold for millennia. Russia is colder and you don’t see this same idiocy.

The true cause is drinking too much of the toxic American brand of ‘freedom’ and ‘liberalism’ Kool Aid where people who go to almost any lengths to deliberately provoke others are granted near absolute protection for their provocations while their targets will get curbstomped by the police (not necessarily just metaphorically) for making any reaction to said provocation.

It would be just supreme idealogical idiocy if not for one fundamentally important distinction. This freedom to provoke is not universal. Because the full force of the law will be brought to bear on you if provoked specially protected groups or crossed the latest arbitrary line of which groups are to be granted special favour.

For instance, say anything critical of the state of Israel or Israeli government policy will almost certainly have you labelled as an anti-Semite, and even using the wrong pronouns to address someone can get you cancelled.

The fact that these special protected categories exists proves the MSM lie about there being principles at play. Principles need to apply equally even when inconvenient or else the stop being principles and are instead just preferences.

If there are truly matters of principles at play, westerners should see zero distinction and apply the same treatment to someone going out of their way to harass and offend a Muslim and someone else doing the same to a Jew. Either both should be prohibited or allowed. To choose to protect one group while effectively engage in state sponsored persecution of another based entirely on their religious and/or ethnic identity is the very core ideology of fascism.

South Korea unveils path to ‘normalize’ ties with Pyongyang

South Korea will use NGOs and international bodies to tilt Pyongyang towards the restart of dialogue, the country’s Unification Ministry said on Friday. It added that the ban on North Korean media may be eased as a goodwill gesture.

The South Korean Unification Ministry, tasked with engaging with Pyongyang, said the government would “seek direct and indirect contact with North Korea through civic groups and international organizations in a bid to open up chances to improve strained inter-Korean ties.”

According to the Yonhap news agency, the Unification Ministry now plans to devise a more detailed strategy provisionally named the New Future Initiative on Unification. As one of the measures, the ministry said it was considering allowing people to read the Rodong Sinmun, the leading North Korean newspaper, at designated spots, but online access would not be allowed. North Korean media is currently banned in South Korea.
“We will create conditions, in which North Korea… will have no choice but to come to dialogue,” Kwon said, as quoted by the newspaper.

I suppose their brilliant plan is to get nukes and then nuke them. How else are you going to force them into negotations.

Very happy to hear that China is providing support to Russia in terms of ISR and technologies. It is imperative for Russia to win this war against NATO. Dismantling the American empire is the only way China will achieve peace.

People here are always taking about a hot war between US and China, but historically, nuclear armed superpowers do not fight each other directly. Instead, they engage in proxy wars.

It may not be apparent at first, but Ukraine is a proxy war between US and China.

unfortunately, India is only food self sufficient for a very flexible definition of 'food' and 'self sufficient'.

Yup You're right, Because Ruling class couldn't care less about farmers why would they you just had to bring religion to get votes, Indo-Gangetic plain is severely underutilized due to cow belt politics if there is a fallout it would be similar to Russian food crisis after Crimea sanctions there would be short term pain but long term would be beneficial after all farmers there are the primary vote bank of Modi government

Hmmm my brain failed a little here, his actions might just ensure that if Russia ever decides to invade Sweden, Turkiye might just happily join in. But if not, I am pretty sure that well this idiots life is in grave danger and any thing in relation to normalizing relations between the two countries will be contingent on the idiot suffering the consequences. Also Turkiye doesn’t need Sweden whatsoever and right now, the EU is in a far more precarious situation compared to Turkiye when it comes to resources and future access (due to having Russia as a partner compared to how Europe has burned its last bridges). Then again this idiot is small fry and people might not care but I am certain that Muslims would and knowing how zealous they can be, I wouldn’t consider the possibility of a future incident as being all that unlikely

Burning bridges is something the EU shouldn’t be doing right now, but then again, given how stupid the current west is in general, I guess I should t be surprised, I mean the UK is a good demonstration of a nation that has an extremely bleak out look because they decided to suck the shaft of the USA a little too much and not use their brains even a little to the idea that maybe, no nation really likes the prospect of a colonial power not getting what’s coming to them

Come on, you guys are way overthinking things. Maybe this is exactly as it appears, a research group (they're like lice on Wall Street) uncovered fraud and published it to set off a selling frenzy and make money shorting.

Adani is an Indian billionaire, of course his "wealth" is built on fraud. What else is it going to be built on, the strength of India's economy?
These are indeed warning shots, since these are compromats that obviously took years to create and as was the case with the BBC documentary, would have been held in the proverbial back pocket for years. But their use is not about Russia.

India has been buying Russian oil since the war started, so if they were going to press India over Russian oil, they would have done it months ago.

And to be frank, Russia is a side show to America’s main goal. They don’t really care of India helps Russia, but they will act quickly at any sign that India is softening its hostility towards China. That’s the real red line Washington wants to remind Delhi.
The counterexample to this is Saudi Arabia. It's recently moved far closer to China than anything India's done and it's far more consequential than India is. It's also not toeing the party line on Russia, so why hasn't it suffered financial attacks?
Because China offers an alternative options in many things that didn't previously exist. Say there's a financial crisis, previously you're screwed and IMF will be at your door in no time telling you they can bail you out, but you have to commercialize your profitable government owned companies because SOE is communism and no good. And of course here are some American funds interested in buying up your SOE on the cheap. Also you need to open your markets to American companies regardless of what effect it will have on domestic industry because capitalism and free market baby.

Nowadays you have AIIB showing up at the same time as IMF saying no no, I offer you a loan with lower interest to get you over the current crisis. You continue to run your country however you like however to pay off the loan in the future I recommend you invest into these infrastructure projects which will greatly improve your GDP once completed. The funds for these infrastructure projects are included in the AIIB package.

Even if you don't take AIIB's offer, the fact that its there means it's that much easier for you to negotiate with IMF.
The counterexample to this is Pakistan. Sweetheart deals from China for a decade without a single onerous condition and yet it's still begging for an IMF handout. Some people are just failures, Western interference or no Western interference. If the West were to vanish from the planet by magic, they'd still be failures.

You open yourself to US media and investment and you are also more susceptible to US influence. It’s doubled edged, imo I was a blessing that attempted color revolution on June 4th happened when it did because China learned early not to trust the US.

For India, they never had that wake up call and because they alienated China, where else could India realistically go? Being a “democracy” with foreign press coverage and having lots of Indian expats and CEO further strengthens Washington DC strings.

So while I don’t think the US single handedly engineered all of India’s troubles. I do think the US knew about the corruption for sometime (even if it was not involved) and sat on it, only to green light the publication when it was convenient like Modi’s involvement in the Guajarat riots.
