While everyone is cursing at Germany, the US isn't sending tanks either. In my opinion, the US is in a better position to send tanks considering they don't need them, and they have many pristine tanks in the reserve. Because the US congress forces the army to buy tanks it doesn't want in order to subsidize General Dynamics, which causes the army to retire perfectly serviceable tanks.
Let's see the incredible and laughable mental gymnastics Americans are engaging in.

Funny thing is, no matter what they do, those tanks will be destroyed anyways and the country that lost those tanks will ultimately have no choice but to buy a replacement (which is going to be quite hard to procure, lol). Also, if the US Abrams are really that unsuited to a fight in Ukraine, are they openly acknowledging that there hardware lacks innovation and that they seriously lack confidence in their technology that should it get destroyed in Ukraine that it will expose the USA as a paper tiger that needs others to die for them, to hide the fact that the USA is in reality a spent force that simply cannot face Russia and China in a straight fight. Cause I cannot see this in any other way given how hard they are forcing the EU to foot the bill and how hard they are trying to run away from Ukraine. A true super power should never behave like this at all

The thing is how is the US govt ever going to pay back the debt of 31.4 trillions, that's close to USD 89k per every soul in the US.
