Synopsis

Mike Liu, the author of the book titled 'The Rise of Indian IT', said unlike the Indian firms, who still have a sway in the global markets, especially in IT outsourcing, China's software revenue is mostly from home. Over 95 per cent of China's IT earnings come from the domestic Chinese market, he said.

Good work Comrade Liu

China missed the opportunity to colonize the Americas. She will not miss the opportunity to colonize the moon.
Should be noted that the colonization of America and its gradual ascension to become the world's most powerful country is one of history's biggest accidents.

To give the short version, the early European empires saw North America as one of two things, a dumping ground for its unwanted heretics and a convenient conduit to conduct trade with more lucrative markets, nothing more.

Britain was the most powerful empire in the planet at the time, they could've kept onto its American colonies if it was willing to expend the manpower. Less we forget, towards the end of the war the majority of redcoats who fought against the thirteen colonies were themselves colonists who stayed loyal to the crown. But in the end, it was a loss they swallowed because the thirteen colonies were a backwater compared to say the Carribean colonies, which made Britain obscenely rich thanks to tobacco, or the crown jewel that was India.

Well, let us all help that Tomothy Brummer, whoever that is, brush up his "Hokkien" quickly.
The situation calls for it, it seems.

Too late, he deleted his tweet

Now he can pretend he never said anything so stupid

Impressively he went as far as saying Taiwan didn’t need a “national language” because they had Japanese…

Boring company will need to buy this guy’s hot air powered hole digging machine.

They're mixing apples and oranges. Chinese programmers beat Indians who hardly make the top ranks in programming competitions. Indians are only translating machine language into English and it's not because they're good. It's because they're cheap. Of course Chinese earnings come from the domestic market because who else is going to write it for Chinese? Where's the Indian app that is the rage of the world like TikTok? Where's Indian 5G? Where's Indian 6G? You hear nothing. So when they say "IT" as in internet technology, it's a whole world in itself and just translating machine language into English doesn't register as worthy of getting any attention except that without the cheap translators of Indian, the English speaking computer world will cost English speakers more to use it. I see nothing from India so excuse me if I'm not in awe.

The key takeaway:
For their part, the Chinese companies need to learn many things such as mindset, management systems and governance, he said, adding that an abundant supply of human resources in IT was key for India's success.
Chinese firms like Huawei, Alibaba, Baidu and Tencent made a big leap in technology development, while the Indian IT sector is broadly confined to software outsourcing, spending little on innovation and R&D, he said.

For lolz:
He said the Indian IT phenomenon is not made possible through either deregulated efforts or government subsidies and policies but due to the strong conviction by the Indian tech leaders and software engineers to make a difference.

In summary:

Indian mindset, management systems and governance:
Just throw more Dalits at it

The strong conviction of Indian tech leaders and software engineers to make a difference:

Just throw more Dalits at it

Indian code monkeys write codes for foreigners because there is no demand for their services within India.
