Looks like Chinese customs are finally enforcing this no-more Made in Taiwan rule. If a product is found to have labelled Made in Taiwan, instead of Made in Taiwan, China, even for the section of products not exported to China, the same product won't be allowed in Mainland China.

China knows full well that Taiwan's main export to mainland China is semiconductors, it's reasonable to assume China will apply this to chips.
