what is up with the latest shanghai protest? if it really is NED sponsored what has the MSS been doing, sleeping? how many of these protestors are actual Chinese citizens and not some ethnic Chinese from other countries who so happened to be in shanghai joining the protest? i really do not know if these are legitimate grievances or something much more sinister in the making. im strongly suspecting the latter.

also dispels the myth that protesting in china will get you shot and your organs harvested. but i doubt anyone would point this out

They're protesting on a street named Wulumuqi and didn't know how to write the qi character. How about just lifting their head and looking at the street sign?

Anyways, Shanghai's population is about 25 mil. A few hundred (thousands?) people protesting is nothing. That the police stood aside keeping watch instead of clamping down immediately shows 制度自信.

I think I understand the narrative here; everything that isn't pro-Xi Jinping or -CCP must be a CIA clandestine operation, never mind the crowds of ordinary city folk who are unanimously fed up with these COVID policies.

The great irony of all this is that by implementing these overreaching and ineffective controls (thousands are still being infected despite these measures), the CCP is harming the very thing that allows it to stay in power: the economy.
