All this talk about the Americans banning TikTok, is a little bizarre.

Why TikTok?

Sure, TikTok probably makes some money in America. Then again, probably a lot of Americans were able to leverage TikTok to make money for themselves.

The American government on the topic of TikTok, is acting like a chickenshit.

Since they cannot compete with it, they want to ban it. Therefore, problem solved.

It is like what Stalin used to say, "No man, no problem."

What difference will it make, if TikTok is banned or not banned from America? Less money would exchange hands in commerce, that is about it.

The view from aboard, the Americans have lost their marbles, or lost their nerve. They are afraid of TikTok!

This is what they are going to do.

They want to ban it because they can’t as easily control and manipulate it’s content or policies, eg via some TikTok Human Rights department, as we saw Twitter have.

Same thinking behind the Huawei ban, it’s not that they are worried about the security of Huawei, it’s that they will lose the security exploitations they currently have. I.e they can’t spy on you if you are using Huawei gear.

The point is this.

In the past, the Americans would never be afraid or raising alarm bells about something like TikTok.

Now they are. Something has fundamentally changed.

It is kind of odd. Here we have China building out 5G networks, has a better working quantum computer using photons, deployed hypersonic weapons and is even more advanced in new tests, yet the American power elite goes all hyper about TikTok.

:rolleyes::oops:

If they can’t control the information young Americans consume then they cant brainwash them into hating China. Hence the concern.

Friend, that is going off the deep end.

The reason TikTok is popular, is lighthearted and goofy videos.

TikTok is about having fun. TikTok is not a political study class.

The people consuming the content, and creating the content, for TikTok, extremely unlikely they refer to the US Constitution then the collected works of Karl Marx before they login into their TikTok account.

Indeed Friend, and the reason TikTok is like that is because the US hasn’t been able to control it, once they do TikTok will change, you will see a lot more Human Rights videos for example, the NED will start paying TikTokers to create anti-China content, which will be promoted to peoples feeds.

Those kids that don’t care about politics, will start to hate China.

1. TikTok is different from other platforms. There is no gatekeepper. The content competes with all the other content, usually dance moves.

2. If the US government is able to take control of TikTok, and install a gatekeepper for approved messages, not sure will that make any difference. No one cares about such videos. If they want political messages, then go to Fakebook or Youtube. The young people liked TikTok because it had none or very little of that.

3. If you are saying the US government wants to make TikTok more like Fakebook or Instantbusts, that is NOT possible anymore. TikTok itself is its own platform, like it is in its own universe.

4. TikTok will not agree to be changed to suit the tastes of the US government. So the Americans will have to ban it if there will be changes at TikTok.

Exclusive: Tesla mulls exporting China-made EVs to United States-sources

SHANGHAI, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Tesla is considering exporting made-in-China electric cars to the United States, two people with knowledge of the planning told Reuters, a reversal that would reflect the automaker's deepening cost advantage at its Shanghai plant and slower demand from Chinese consumers.

Tesla has been studying whether parts made by its China-based suppliers are compliant with local regulations in North America, and if they are, could ship China-made Model Y and Model 3 cars for sale there as soon as next year, said the people, who declined to be named as the matter is private.

That could also open a channel for exports to Canada, one of the people said.
