Everyone knew the old white men club that is the British Conservative party would never elect a brown man to be PM, so they rigged it to ensure the Conservative party members didn’t even get to vote.

Liz wannabe-Lettuce Truss was elected by 70k, which is less than 50% of the conservatives party members.

Rishi Jai Hind Sunak is PM after 100 conservative MPs voted for him. This is the standards for who becomes leader in the birthplace of modern democracy.

It’s only slightly less farcical than it BoJo got back into power after pulling all his strings to help Truss into office after him.

BoJo pulled out because even he could see that the current premiership is a poison chalice with zero mandate without an immediate snap election, which the conservatives would be crushed in. So he backed away to let his biggest internal rival kamikaze his career on this brief period in charge while he waits for Labour to come into power so he can blame them for not magically fixing everything the conservatives broke and trashed in one term, and use blaming labour as the launch pad for his next run at office.

Sunak could make use of the little time he has and concede GB’s UN security seat to India as a massive FU to all who opposed him.

No, you are not thinking big enough my friend.

Sunak would negotiate for the UK to become the 51st state of the USA. Once that is done, Harris will bump Biden down some stairs and then declare the USA for India. Boom, India now unrivalled supadupapowa, with double vetos!

I don't think the Conservatives would have a problem with have a non white as leader as long as he was an "uncle Tom" like Obama. The reason Sunak would never win is because he has zero charisma or personality. He is a brown noser and backstabber with no morals who only got his position in cabinet because he was prepared to be a yes man.

I don't think it is racism to be against having an Indian as PM. There are a few cabinet ministers in the UK with African heritage, you don't see them being closely associating with the political affairs of Nigeria or Ghana, they are just black British. The same with Obama. You didn't see Obama having business interests with Kenya or getting an arranged marriage to a politically connected daughter of a Kenyan businessman. He integrated into (black) American society and married an African American woman.

Sunak believes in the magical cow dung stuff. Can you imagine Obama doing a African voodoo ceremony?

In general, I would classify diplomatic sovereignity and independence of countries into 3 categories.

USA, China, Russia are the real world leaders, UK and France are just relics of WWII.
In fact, I should say that USA, China and Russia are the only 3 countries in the world right now that have totally independent and sovereign diplomacy on the world stage. No other countries are at the same level of absolute diplomatic sovereignity as the trio.

The level underneath the USA-China-Russia WRT the following:
I am dead serious. I would like to see India in the P5 rather than the UK. The reason is the UK itself. They do absolutely nothing except parroting the USA. They are a placeholder at this point.
Absolutely on-point.

The next level below the trio would be countries that have at least significant amount of diplomatic sovereignty and independence. That means while they do have certain levels of autonomy (or resistance) to some foreign influences and forces on the diplomatic world stage, they are still bounded by other foreign influences and forces. These countries include Turkey, India and Indonesia.

And then, there are the many countries that can only follow the will and orders of their superior "masters" to the latter. I think I don't need to explain further, and you guys would have already know which countries belong to this category.

Russia’s Gazprom to pay record dividend

According to the report, the issuer will pay 51.03 Russian rubles ($0.83) per ordinary share for the first half of 2022. The total volume of dividend paid out will exceed 1 trillion rubles (around $20 billion).

Looks like some people are about to get stinking rich from this dividend.

Apparently, each share of Gasprom is worth 165.89 Rubles. Dividend is 51.03 Rubles.

Cannot see UK in. Would rather see EU to be counted has one... But I could see Brazil in the mix too. But nothing come close to the USA China and Russia trio.
