x for doubt.

Before WW2 Imperial Japan had already beaten Russia and Germany on Chinese soil (and they made sure to massacre, maim and rape a healthy amount of Chinese civilians while doing so).

IJA was definitely the best navy in the world up until 1941 and wrecked the Royal Navy on multiple occasions. The Zero Fighter was unmatched for the first half of the war in the pacific.

It still took the US, which boasted a ridiculous 50% of the world's industrial strength at the time, 4 years to grind them down.
Hmmm. I still would be quite interested to see if Japan has to guts to try and do what they did to China in Nanjing. I seriously dare those bastards to actually try and while they do so, try to muck around in Taiwan since really, every time some one brings up Imperial Japan, I always feel they those bastards got of easy for what they did for Nanjing and how much the USA deserves to suffer for getting in the way of Chinas vengeance. It makes my blood boil

I said this before, but Nanjing is only one of the many countless atrocities, sufferings, and humiliations Imperial japan inflicted upon China and Chinese people.

Nanjing was like 1/1000 of the total damage Japan caused to China.

Over 20 million Chinese in China alone died from WW2. Hundreds of thousands more if you include the massacres that took place in Singapore, Burma, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

It was literally a war of genocide against the Chinese race. They were poisoning Chinese wells with cholera, doing human experiments on Chinese in Unit 731, burying Chinese alive, using Chinese as dummies for target practice, beheading Chinese toddlers, bayonetting pregnant Chinese women after raping them, and holding contests on who could kill the most Chinese in a given amount of time.

Even in WW1 Japanese soldiers executed ~80 Chinese civilians and seriously maimed hundreds more when they went to war with Germany on Chinese soil. And in the aftermath of the first Sino-Japanese war the IJN massacred an entire Chinese village of 50,000 (Port Arthur Massacre).

Hold on to the anger, let it drive you, but do not allow it to cloud your reasoning. We Chinese are smart. We will continue the great work of the past 40 years in steadily building up the motherland's industrial and military strength. When the time is right, and the balance in the pacific has swung so laughably in China's favor, this blood debt will be repaid to Japan in full.

Well, if we look at what a handful of S300s can do regarding holding back Russia's whole air fleet which is several times larger than the Jap one, then its not like Japan can even reach anywhere on China except maybe Taiwan island since it is not entirely defended by PLA.

And if air attack is not possible, any attempts at ground based terrorism would even more not work. 100k japs can swim to shanghai?

I seriously doubt modern Chinese soldiers have the required mentality to personally go around with bayonets and stab Jap civilians in their home cities. But if Japan invades, China can and will flatten Japanese cities with missiles and airpower to demoralise and get them off China's back. Given high population density and heavily centralized critical infrastructure, the results will not be good for Japan.

Japs are more stubborn than SKoreans because Japan was never denazified after ww2, while SKorea was "only" controlled by the fascist Syngman Rhee, not the nazist "pan asian" ideologies of Hirohito, Kishi and Tojo.

But there's a reason SK pursues non conflict status with China, because they know if they aid an invader, China will respond with severe force, which is not good if they want to remain populated. Japan will probably "see the light" soon as well and abandon imperial plans, not because of morals, but because of survival.

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, right, meets German lawmaker Klaus-Peter Willsch in Taipei on Oct. 3 to discuss common concerns between Germany and Taiwan, including China.

TAIPEI (Kyodo) -- Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen on Monday sought to deepen relations with Germany in response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine and Chinese pressure on the democratic self-ruled island.
In a meeting with a German parliamentary delegation in Taipei, Tsai warned of the global spread of authoritarianism and said, "It is precisely for this reason that all democratic countries should unite and cooperate to jointly defend values such as freedom and democracy."
Video of the meeting was released by Taiwan's Presidential Office.

Citing other common challenges such as COVID-19 and climate change, Tsai said Taiwan looks forward to deepening cooperation with Germany in various areas and jointly safeguarding justice, peace and ecological sustainability.

The German delegation is led by Klaus-Peter Willsch, who heads the Germany-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Tsai thanked the delegation for visiting Taiwan at a critical time, which she said bore particular significance because it is the first visit by German parliamentarians since the COVID-19 pandemic began in late 2019.

Tsai also called the lawmakers' group and the German federal parliament an "important force for Taiwan."

Describing Taiwan as "an important friend of Germany," Willsch said through an interpreter that it is important for Berlin to engage in bilateral cooperation and exchanges with Taipei, especially by strengthening diplomatic relations.

On Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Willsch praised the bravery of Ukrainian men and women in defending their country, freedom and democracy.

As some have expressed concern that Chinese President Xi Jinping may imitate Russia and pursue military means to seize Taiwan, Willsch underscored the German parliament's opposition to unilateral attempts to change the status quo in the Taiwan Strait.

"If Taiwan is under military threat, we will bravely stand up to assist Taiwan and support Taiwan," he said.

Willsch said the people of Taiwan should be very proud of their democratic development, which he said is "of great significance in Asia."

He also commended Taiwan for its economic performance, particularly with regard to semiconductors, saying that without them "global industry may have a big problem."

The seven-person cross-party delegation arrived on Sunday for a five-day visit.

The group will also meet with other senior leaders and visit the legislature, think tanks and security organizations.

Liz Truss backs down on 45p tax rate cut in major U-turn

Decision follows 10 days of pressure in wake of controversial mini-Budget
Liz Truss has executed a major U-turn by scrapping plans to axe the 45p top rate of tax, after facing a growing revolt from Tory MPs led by former cabinet ministers Michael Gove and Grant Shapps. After insisting on Sunday that the controversial plan would go ahead, Truss concluded after talks with her senior team that the plan stood no chance of getting through the House of Commons.

The rapid economic collapse that Britain is facing is simply an accelerated version of what the whole of Europe is about to go through; unsustainable borrowing to fund the gap between high energy prices and what households can actually afford. With the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline, there is now no feasible way back. The Nord Stream sabotage could be the point at which future historians mark the end of western dominance.

The CIA clearly had nothing to do with the crack trade in Black neighborhoods. After all, the reporter who broke the story felt so guilty about besmirching the CIA's reputation that he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, TWICE.
What are you talking about? If you're referring to Tim Weiner that used to write for the NYT and who wrote that article sampled on Twitter, then am afraid you're mistaken. The dude is still alive and kicking.
