Besides the fact that China's own Walvax mRNA vaccine has been approved for emergency use in Indonesia, there is one more reason that China should not bother with the Moderna vaccine anymore: a new study indicates that their effectiveness turns negative after 150 days.
Does negative effectiveness mean that actually you are more likely to catch COVID if you had a Moderna shot than without it? I wonder whether the issue is with Moderna or mRNA vaccines in general - they failed hard in previous non-COVID outbreaks, maybe the same is happenning now?

that's probably just because vaccinated people think they're safe when they're not so they're not as careful as the control group

Anyway, China has Walvax which seems to be similarly effective as Moderna

Not good for China since the BRI network from China to Europe transits through portions of Russia

These known news outlets said it is "truck" on "road", not railways. It is an authorization to ban, not specifying whether it will happen and when. It also says it is targeting trucks registered in countries that banned Russian and Belarussian trucks, not all EU countries, not even goods from or to these "unfriendlies", only their trucks. For example, it is impossible for Germany to ban Russian trucks since it does not have a border with Russia to begin with. So Germany registered trucks are not part of the measure.

BRI does not use trucks. Even if later on the Russian ban expands to include railway goods it would only apply to destination to Baltics or Poland. BRI's most goods are not destinated to these countries anyway, the Baltic three have already cut themselves out of BRI.

So I don't see any impact by this "ban" for the moment nor in the near future. Remember China and Russia's strategic coordinated partnership just upgraded to "limitless" recently, a coordination on the "ban" is part of it.
