“Information that Ukraine is becoming a major hub for arms smuggling does not correspond to reality,” said Yuriy Sak, an adviser to Ukraine’s defence minister, suggesting that those claiming such “could be part of Russia’s information war to discourage international partners from providing Ukraine with weaponry that is necessary for our victory”.
I think the one who does not correspond to reality here is Yuriy Sak.

While netizens are making fun of Russian tanks and cruiser Moskva being towed for sale by Ukrainian tractors on the Internet, Javelins and Switchblades sent to Ukraine were already sold on eBay or some other sketchy trading websites since May, or even earlier. Yet, he still thinks that there is no arms smuggling in this active warzone called Ukraine.

In fact, any of those Western military equipment captured by the Russian forces could very well have been stored in some random military warehouses in China right now.

U.S. sends $1.7B in aid to pay Ukraine’s health care workers

Ukraine will receive another $1.7 billion in aid from the United States and the World Bank to pay health care workers’ salaries and provide other essential services, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

The latest round of aid — provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Treasury Department and the World Bank — aims to address the acute budget deficit caused by the ongoing Russian invasion, the AP reported. So far, USAID has provided $4 billion in budgetary support to Ukraine.

While some hospitals in Ukraine have been shut down or bombed, many health care workers have opted to remain in the war-torn country. Paying the workers has become increasingly difficult “due to the overwhelming burden of war,” Viktor Liashko, Ukraine’s minister of health, said in a statement.

Don’t forgot that you should sacrifice your family wellbeing because the liberal imperialist world order is far more
important.

How is EDF reactor long term reliability in China?. these things need to be reliable over long term. The Ukranian largest plant is now 45 year old.

That isn't relevant to your comment that there will only be 1-2 suppliers of complex infrastructure equipment (like nuclear).

Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 reactor designs in serial production in China.
Plus 3 reactor designs with newly built demonstration plants.

GT and CGTN gets shit on alot here, while I think they can play the media game better and with more sophistication, I dont agree they are completely useless. I still use them as a source many times and they do come out with good infographics like this one at times. Cgtn on YouTube is pretty good too. Cgtn America though tends to worse for some reason.

tapper: "One doesn’t have to be brilliant to attempt a coup."
john bolton: "I disagree with that. As somebody who has helped plan coup d’etat, not here, but other places, it takes a lot of work."

a couple of things
1) hurt his pride, and you get something unexpectedly candid out of him. tried and tested negotiation technique, I wonder if it can be used with other officials in washington dc
2) he says it cause he knows there won't be repercussions for it

If there's any coup he helped plan, it must be the failed Venezuelan one that was so badly planned it was comical

I wouldn't call Bolton an expert coup planner. He seems just as incompetent as Simon Mann
