That human reaction shouldn't be used to clubber the Chinese journalist over with. It's a bit hysterical for the super patriots to get angry beyond reason all because she exhibited a moment of humanity. Her perspective and judgment of Abe maybe different from the rest of the grain which is fine it isn't like she was making absurd treacherous statement about Abe, or Japan to a certain extent against her own country.
Yearning for peace between countries is a goal that ought to be pursued with vigor, while it's futile to even think that such a scenario is possible in today's geopolitical context but that doesn't mean we ought to simply resigned ourselves to that supposed fate of War.
While I despise what Japan did to China and the ongoing s...t their politicians have to do against China we must already know what that's the case: U.S.A.
Absent that country in the region doing her thing can we really say that Japan would still be acting in such a manner? If the answer is NO then we ought to be more circumspect regarding Japan's circumstances and dilemma.
