What I haven't seen discussed anywhere yet is the danger that NATO is putting itself in by designating China an enemy. Did they ever consider that if China and Russia were actually fighting together against NATO, the PLA could be sent to Europe? Russia might not have the ability to threaten to invade Germany or France anymore, Chinese troops starting from Belarus certainly would. Maybe floating the idea of a Chinese base in Belarus could make the EU reconsider its strategy of trying to fight China in the Pacific.
The question is, are they willing to accept Chinese help? Before China can credibly help them, Russia and Belarus has to want Chinese help. And that means dropping some arrogance and understanding that China can do some things better than Russia can, and it's better to plug into Chinese industrial standards.

I didn’t say they have stopped buying, but just look at all the deals done this year in Europe and elsewhere, almost all I have read about do not include the US apart from a few, for legacy or other reasons.

These things don’t happen overnight. It’s simply prudent for everyone right now to rely less on the US for gear, everyone now believes the US will restrict how export clients get to use their expensively acquired US weapons, so that means, for example, for Middle East countries, there is no way to defend against Israel with US kit, it’s clear it only for use against Iran basically, and each other, of course.

Drones from Turkey, Armor from Europe and South Korea, Missiles, ISR from Europe and Israel, Ships from everywhere (except the USA), in development are 6th Gen fighters from UK and Europe, and 5th gens in Japan and Korea. This is the kit that is being bought in 2022

You will be able to find single instances where this is not happening. It’s more of a trend than a wholesale shift.

Remember there is only a single fith generation fighter on the market which can (currently) annihilate fourth gens, a small batch of F35s just makes sense for countries to buy if they are allowed too, in 2022.

For the record, I predict a huge loss of confidence in US stealth kit because sensor development seems to have outpaced materials. This applies to all stealth platforms, from my view, including submarines.
Good explanation, I'll be looking forward to seeing less US weapons being bought by other countries, but I still have doubts if EU would follow their own independent foreign policies, maybe they'll become more independent after becoming one of the largest army in the world.
Nato function for German interests primarily. these are very token purchases in overall context that further improve German influence in US. If Nato going global. it will be for German globalization.

Speaking to journalists in Turkmenistan on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to questions about several recent remarks from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. During the latest G7 summit, the UK leader joked that his allies should take their clothes off for the photoshoot – to show that they are “tougher than Putin.”
I don't know how they wanted to undress, waist-high or not, but I think it would be a disgusting sight either way,”
the Russian president quipped. “Everything should be harmoniously developed in a person, both the body and the soul. However, in order for everything to be harmonious, one has to abandon excessive drinking and break other bad habits, start exercising, take up a sport.”

suggested that what he described as a “macho war of invasion” in Ukraine would not happen “if Putin was a woman, which he obviously isn’t.”
The Russian leader responded: “I just want to remind you about the events of modern history, when Margaret Thatcher made a decision to launch military action against Argentina over the Falkland Islands. Here’s a woman, deciding to launch military action. Where are the Falkland Islands and where is Britain? And this was dictated by nothing but imperial ambitions.”
“So coming from an acting British Prime Minister, this is not exactly a correct remark in regards to what is happening today.”

Vladimir Putin visited Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on Wednesday, during his first foreign trip since the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. He attended the sixth Caspian summit, meeting with the leaders of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The day before that, he visited Tajikistan and met with its president Emomali Rahmon.
