‘Roman empire’ alliance would strengthen European unity, says Boris Johnson

UK PM in favour of Emmanuel Macron’s proposal for a broader continental community
Boris Johnson has followed Emmanuel Macron’s proposal for a European Political Community by suggesting the creation of a modern take on the Roman empire, encompassing Turkey and other key North African states in a bid to strengthen regional unity.
Earlier this week at the G7 summit in Germany, the Élysée Palace suggested that the UK prime minister had shown “interest” in the French president’s plan during a bilateral meeting.
“I had this idea back when I first became foreign secretary,” he said, referring to his time in the post from 2016 to 2018. “My view is that we should rebuild the whole concept. I think that Turkey should be there. I think that Maghreb should be there and I think we should basically be recreating the Mare Nostrum of the Roman empire.”

A superb Quora post I found today. It is about Ursula von Der Leyen

Let’s review the history of Ursula von der Leyen, the tip of the iceberg of Europe’s structural, systemic political corruption, as well as Uncle Sam’s manipulation and indoctrination, all covered up by the West’s liberal theology and demoncrapcy:

1: She studied economics at the Universities of Göttingen and Münster as well as at the London School of Economics but never graduated. Guess what: Later she switched to studying medicine at Hannover Medical School and her dad Ernst Albrecht “coincidently” happened to be the PM in the state. The thesis that earned her a “doctor’s degree” in medicine was caught plagiarism by 43% which was likely “handled internally” given some “locked room talk” given that her school concluded that she was “unintentional”.

2: Her dad Ernst Albrecht was a career politician, descended from the Albrecht family that has been the political establishment of Germany for hundreds of years. She wouldn't stand even a single chance in Lower Saxony (where she began her career and earned her degree) without her old man opening up a “backdoor” for her.

3: Also, her husband, Heiko von der Leyen, happened to descend from a German noble family and is also an American citizen. And, when he returned to Germany to be a professor at Hannover Medical School, she was appointed as a faculty member precisely there, as well. And one thing for certain is she really loves using von (=noblity) in public for the sake of PR.

4: Rumor suggests, though I can’t confirm yet, that her entire family (husband and 7 children) all have American citizenship.

5: Then, when she was a defense minister, in just two years she spent 200M euros on “consultancy” from Mckinsey. In case someone misses the background, 1)her son also works at Mckinsey and 2)she appointed a Mckinsey executive as her secretary and 3) that executive happened to “have a friend” who is a top manager of the company that receives the IT contract from German military (after Mckinsey’s consultancy) which she claimed she didn’t know nothing at all, and 4) Mckinsey has been banned by the Chinese government for doing business with state enterprises and institutions for transferring classified info and data all the way back to the US intelligence, and 5) based on Snowden’s leaked files of PRISM, the US intelligence has been spying and monitoring the EU leaders including Merkel.

6: For some unknown reasons but probably her brahmin status, she hooked up with Merkel and climbed up from the minister of family and youth, sort of like how she transformed from failing economics in bachelor’s programs to earning a doctor’s degree in medicine so easily, all the way to the defense minister with no first-hand experience in the military at all.

I was always wondering how could this incompetent person get the most important job in the EU, after the debacle with the Bundeswehr. The EU is so corrupt and rotten.

Baerbock has a fake degree as well.

The world is being taken over by jingoistic assholes.

I wonder how much Trump affected Chinese outlook on the world. I remember reading something about China complaining that the US under Trump was using outright hard power against them and everyone just stood and watched. I'm pretty sure they've been in a cold war mentality since then. This basically just formalizes it.

There will be no mining of the Yellow Sea nor any mining of Pearl River Delta. Those are both acts of war and china will glass the US in return. Its just a navy commander doing his usual round of trolling, just like stupid idiots who are calling for "decolonizing Russia".
I don't know if the U.S. Navy commander speaks from the experience of Korea War or something. Otherwise, suggesting asymmetrical warfare does not sound like that the current U.S. Navy is very confident to me.

BoJo regrets that UK left the EU and he wants a new alliance now? Or the current alliances, such as EU, NATO, and G7 don't work that well?

Why the G7's $600 billion "whatever" can't compete with China's BRI:

US media reported a recent event in which a pair of Chinese satellites evaded a probe attempt by a US space surveillance satellite, with Chinese experts saying on Wednesday that the US spying activities in space pose enormous security threats to many countries including China. They said the US media’s hyping of Chinese satellites’ defensive measures is a vile trick.

Early this year, US space surveillance satellite USA 270 maneuvered to get a closer look at Chinese satellites the Shiyan-12-01 and the Shiyan-12-02, soon after the latter reached geostationary orbit. As the US satellite closed in, the Chinese satellites took off in opposite directions, with the Shiyan-12-02 moving into position to get a sunlit view of the US surveillance satellite, US magazine SpaceNews reported in its June issue.

“This sort of geostationary orbit cat and mouse is happening with greater frequency than ever before,” SpaceNews said, citing space traffic experts.

US military satellites have kept tabs on the geostationary orbit belt since the 1990s, but in the last few years, Russian and Chinese reconnaissance satellites have followed suit in ways that US government officials find disturbing, the SpaceNews report said.

In response to the report, analysts said that it is not Chinese satellites’ capability to protect themselves, but the US satellite spying activities that deserve attention and criticism from the international community.

Huang Zhicheng, a Chinese expert on aerospace science and technology, told the Global Times on Wednesday that the US media’s hyping of Chinese satellites’ defensive measures is similar to a robber acting like a cop.

Space is a new field that is supposed to bring benefits to mankind, but the US is making it a new battlefield by militarizing and weaponizing it, Huang said.

In order to secure its own superiority in space, the US wants to establish a space-earth integrated capability that monitors other countries’ satellites, and that is the true threat to space security, another Chinese space expert told the Global Times on Wednesday, requesting anonymity.

China, on the other hand, adheres to the concept of building a community of shared future for mankind and constructing an environment for all people to peacefully use space, Chinese experts said, noting that the US should join China in promoting arms control in space and boosting space traffic management.
