Remember what happened when they got rid of USS Theodore Roosevelt's captain in 2020 due to his COVID-19 handling? Secretary of the Navy had to resign to avoid that powder keg blowing up.
Very bad idea for them to even try. The military is the most politically powerful and trusted entity in the US by far.
Doesn't matter. If Trump or DeSantis come in 2024, they will purge it. Abortion was also popular and is now chopped in pieces. I can assure you, they will remember this betrayal from the military.
