Russia should rethink its export-driven economy – central bank

Elvira Nabiullina wants industry to work for the domestic market and says most capital controls should be scrapped

Elvira has done a darn good job at keeping the Russia economy together against the West. Now if only Powell had the balls to do something about inflation instead of bashing the average joe in with continuous lies and bandaid fixes.

Normally he's telling everyone how the new Russo-Turkish alliance will destroy Germany, which is why the post is more confusing then normal.
I am not sure how you got this impression. Turkey is founding member of Germanic system.
when and If Turkey elects semi-competent leadership than true power of Germany will be unleashed. They need a deputy sherifff for neighborhood. When Germany opposed Irak war in 2003. It gave cover to Turkey to oppose it to last minute that enhanced German position. similarly in Ukraine situation. Germany is creating conditions where every one else will be weaker in Europe but Turkey will enhance trade with Russia.
Even as the measure was going down in defeat, about 80 American ships carrying equipment for the 4th U.S. Infantry Division floated off the Turkish coast in an indication of U.S. officials’ expectation that its NATO ally would pass the proposal.
From Europe, yes. They import food and other things from other parts of the world but if it comes from Europe with higher wages it would either need to be higher quality or luxury to compete.
they do alot from education to health care to tourism and alot of infrastructure. do you really want to compete with Europe in Middleast?.
Have you heard of the belt and road project? Chinese companies are are beating European companies in winning infrastructure contracts in Europe, how do you expect them to complete with Chinese companies in the middle east?
It does not contradict what i stated. Primary engineering role is for Europe.
Many of the middle eastern airlines use their home cities as hubs. It has little to do with trade.
but still depended on Europe.

As I pointed out earlier, Israel trades very little with its neighbours. That is not a healthy position to be in for any country. Even Taiwan's biggest trade partner is the mainland. It's more like the first colonies in the Americas where Europeans would ship produce to and from Europe rather than within the Americas.
Isreal population is now 8 to 9m. it will increase trade with Europe and Europe dominated Middleast. so net result is Eurabia.
Israel is anything but integrating into the middle east. The only "improvement" is coming from the leaders of a few dictators like Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Sudan and so on. Morocco got America to renounce separatist claims on western Sahara (a western first) and Sudan had terrorist groups delisted. Dictators can sometimes get away with unpopular foreign policies, but once in a while it causes enough unrest that they get overthrown (see the Shah and Iran).
Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Oman, Turkey.
For Israel to be accepted in the Middle East there needs to be a popular acceptance among the native population, do you see any chance of that happening? It's getting worse not better. Every few months there is an Israeli operation that leads to widespread outrage and condemnation.

As for gas. Europe and the west have spent decades diversifying their oil and gas from the middle east, precisely because of Israel. Then with one special military operation they are now more dependent on the middle east than they've ever been. If (or when) Russia cuts off oil and gas to Europe, what do you think the middle east will do?
Europe is largest funder of Middleast refugees for long time. German vice chancellor is directly visiting refugees and you think they were diversifying?.
when Turkey accepts it. why you need anyone else?. If Germany not defeated in WW1 through a backdoor deal. who do you think will have everything?

This is what I mean. WTF is this, Turkey a member of a Germanic system? You are the Russian version of Alex Jones.

Germany and France opposed the Iraq war because they knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. Both had competent intelligence. They knew America was lying and just wanted an excuse to get rid of Saddam. Turkey, I guess was unhappy that America went outside UN protocol and weren't happy with them invading a fellow Islamic country, especially on their border. It had nothing to do with WW1.

Healthcare - the oil rich countries have pretty good hospitals that actually takes employees from the west (i.e. a brain drain).
Education is probably one area where Europe has an advantage over China. But oil rich countries have relatively small native populations so education is only a small contribution to Europe.
Isreal population is now 8 to 9m. it will increase trade with Europe and Europe dominated Middleast. so net result is Eurabia.
The biggest Israel becomes the harder things will be for them. The annual US economic aid will need to be divided by more and more people.

Like I mentioned earlier, a lot of Israels trade isn't real, it's effectively money laundering so there's a limit to how much it can grow.

For example, if Israel's population doubles will the number of diamonds they export to Europe double?
Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Oman, Turkey.
Kingdom, military dictatorship, Sheikhdom. The relationship with Israel for all is due to American incentives, not for any domestic shift in support for Israel.

Turkey's relationship with Israel has worsened not improved.

when Turkey accepts it. why you need anyone else?. If Germany not defeated in WW1 through a backdoor deal. who do you think will have everything?
Again, what do refugees have to do with America and Europe not buying middle eastern oil?

Western Euopre should have sufficient enough trees and forests to chop and deforest for firewood. Can’t say they will be around for next year or the year after that without imports.
The positive side of this thing is, wood will soon be listed as one of the “green/sustainable energy source ” , you can solve energy shortage by producing/importing LNG /oil, but it’s always cheaper to produce Greta Thunberg as we all knew.

Please explain how Europe can export inflation :)
Nothing Europe exports is irreplaceable, except maybe EUV machines.
China, US are both waiting to carve up that European export market.
By “europe”, he means Germany, Germany is indeed quite irreplaceable ,so is France, but countries like Italy or Spain?
In 2035, you may think that Boris Johnson is a genius and Brexit is truly a smart move.
Every alliance of such kind falls into dust, EU is no exception .

The West’s promotion of democracy has caused wars, chaos and human displacement around the world, President Xi Jinping told top Chinese officials earlier this year.
Addressing a Politburo study session in February, Xi said some Western nations “forcibly promote the concept and system of Western democracy and human rights … taking advantage of human rights issues to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries”, according to a readout of his speech made public this week.

Xi did not name any countries, but Beijing has in recent months pulled no punches in blaming the US over the Ukraine war and the challenges posed by the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. The civil war in Syria and security issues in Iraq also regularly feature among China’s talking points in this context.
The speech came as China continued to assert its own human rights narrative, amid mounting international criticism over issues including its policies in Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Tibet.

Democracy and human rights are not for decoration, Xi said in his address to the 24 other members of the Politburo, the full text of which was published by China’s Qiushi magazine on Wednesday. Xi heads the 25-strong panel which is the Communist Party’s highest decision-making body.

Some Western countries have in recent years faced fierce political partisanship, governmental breach of trust, social disorder and out-of-control virus outbreaks, Xi said.
“Political polarisation, the widening gap between the rich and the poor, and ethnic antagonism has intensified. Racism, populism and xenophobia have prevailed, and human rights issues have become increasingly prominent,” he noted.
