Nice theory but let us wait and see what CN will do as North Korea is planning another nuclear test soon. When asked if China will support more sanctions if North Korea conducts another nuclear test, Zhao Lijian also implied that Beijing will not support new sanctions even if Pyongyang tests a nuclear weapon.

Yup. It was the US and its dogs that have discredited and hollowed the UN sanctions.

In addition to abusing the sanctions for covert purposes, the US also retreats from talks with NK to address its security concerns. The UN sanctions on NK have lost its purpose. Why would China support adding new sanctions if the existing ones are failing?

The US uses sanctions as weapons for regime change. When the US doing this with its own domestic laws, China cannot do much about it except retaliation. But if the US wants to force the UN to follow, China won't allow it to happen.

This is exactly the footgun I was talking about.

US have been abusing UN sanctions for years nothing new.
So because of that, China now no longer opposed to the development and/or deployment of nuclear weapons in the peninsula. The nuclear tests by NK are now acceptable for CN. Even a nuclear SK is also acceptable. Lol ok

Don't put your words in into my mouth. I did not say "China no longer opposed to the development and/or deploymnet of nuclear weapons in the peninsular".

China's position on nuclear weapons in both Koreas has not changed.

Funny how you can go from "China won't support new sanctions if NK does another nuclear test" to "Now nuclear tests by NK are acceptable by China".

I will stop here.

  • China is the continent’s biggest bilateral creditor but most of the debt is due to private Western holders of African debt, according to a new report.
  • Private-sector manoeuvring rather than Chinese scheming more likely to induce a wave of defaults, researchers say
The rise in African debt due to Chinese lending pales in comparison with the debt burden created by private creditors in the last decade, according to a new report taking aim at accusations that Beijing engages in “debt-trap diplomacy” on the continent.

The study – by Harry Verhoeven from the Centre on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, and Nicolas Lippolis from the department of politics and international relations at the University of Oxfordsays the debt-trap narrative is a function of China-US strategic and ideological rivalry rather than a reflection of African realities or perspectives.
Here is an African's perspective. Hopefully more and more Africans will be as clear-eyed as he is.

If you keep printing money to stimulate the economy, like what the U.S. and EU are doing, you will get inflation - simple as that.

You should stop as you have some understanding issues.

Aircraft interception: China warns Canada, Australia it will not allow any country to infringe upon its sovereignty

"Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian made the remarks at a regular press briefing on Monday, after Canada accused Beijing of harassing its patrol aircraft during patrols to monitor UN sanctions on North Korea.

China's Defense Ministry also said in a statement that Canadian military jets have stepped up reconnaissance and "provocations" against China "under the pretext" of implementing UN Security Council resolutions, endangering the Asian country's national security."

China has a lot of retired J6 and J7 fighters that can be converted to unmanned drones. Why not use J6/J7 drones to intercept these close-in reconnaissance flights and show them what truly "aggressive" and "unsafe" intercepts look like?

The West and India keeps accusing China for the "oppression of Tibetans and their religion." But in reality:

No wonder the alt-right is feeling their masculinity is under attacked. The problem starts at what they think is masculine.
So OK, this is the face of "masculine".

Hopefully, nobody will deem such behavior as "masculine":

Wrong! The female cop is clearly forcing the Tibetan woman to kowtow to Xinnie the Pooh from Lhasa all the way to Beijing.
