Didn't they just say sovereignty is sacred? That NATO eastward expansion is justified. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Solomon Islands is never going to withstand against Western pressure, unless China steps up.

China worked on signing the deal with it, time for China to step up and share the pressure for it. You can't simply leave your partners in the cold, otherwise forget about making new partners in the future.

TLDR: Nobody likes a loser

I started out as a journalist back in the 1980s in New York but moved to China in 1993 and became essentially a China economic and business analyst. In China, I founded three companies: a publishing company, a software/CRM company and an online media company, so I know how hard it is to make money in China and how easy it is—or was, in the heyday--to make investment deals. I knew most of China’s internet entrepreneurs before they were famous and rich. Maybe that makes me jealous or maybe just a skeptic.

I speak Chinese and have a lot of Chinese friends and in-laws, which makes it all the more painful that, for now, I can’t be there.

They are trying to nullify RU/CN veto power
That nullify nothing of the veto powers.

This is the current procedure of convening a GA emergency special session:
  • Rule 8(b) – Summoning at the request of the Security Council or Members
    • Emergency special sessions can be convened by a vote of nine members of the Security Council, or a majority of United Nations Member States. These sessions must be convened within 24 hours of any votes.
  • Rule 9(b) – Request by Members
    • Allows any Member State of the United Nations to request the

to convene an emergency special session.
Rule 9(b) allows any member state (such as Ukraine or US) to call for such session by asking the Secretary General. The only effect of US proposal is to bypass the secretary general. The proposal does not alter the legal status of the resolution of the GA session which is non-binding.

No resolution, GA or UNSC, can nullify veto power which is in the UN Charter. Any change to the charter has to be firstly agreed by UNSC before being put to GA for discussion. Any attempt to nullify veto power would be vetoed in UNSC.

It is only a "big deal" if you wish it to be big.

When supporting Ukr nazis and patrolling the SC Sea are more important than feeding starving british kids... LOL.

A group of more than 550 food banks across Britain have warned Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak that they are close to “breaking point” from an unsustainable surge in demand during the cost of living crisis.

Soaring energy bills, rising food costs and the national insurance hike are pushing a growing number of families to the brink
It's okay since they're only close to "breaking point". They're not actually there yet so Boris won't do jack.

I'll bet you a buck they gonna blame China for hoarding all the food next.

So China can snub G7 by saying "not interested".:D
Or China can say 'yes' but the G7 gets to deal with a talking head on a monitor.

Russian energy minister Nikolai Shulginov said the country is ready to sell oil and oil products to "friendly countries" in "any price range," the Izvestia newspaper reported on Wednesday.
He told the outlet crude oil prices could reach $80 to $150 a barrel in principle, although Russia was more focussed on ensuring the functioning of the oil industry.
We will take it for $80

Honestly, i prefer a China run social media site for overseas market. At least the Chinese mods can also use freedom fries-power to ban/suspend all the anti-china garbage the same way any neutral/pro-china content is constantly ban/suspended on twitter/reddit etc.
