Based on the instability of South Asia that we have witnessed in the past week, particularly countries where China has vested interests in (save for Bangladesh), I believe that there are several discresions that needs to make to ensure the survival of China, and as an extension, the survival of the rest of non-West civilization from the "wolves":

1. There are neither permanent allies nor permanent enemies in this world. Only permanent interests.

2. China must build up her armed forces even more aggressively. For China's solid ally, Russia, China could only rely on her 6500 nuclear warheads and the meager Pacific+Northern Fleet for deterrence. China must be capable of setting up and maintaining her safe zones which extends out from the coastlines from any aggression by these "wolves", alongside the vital sea routes between China and her BRI participant countries and oil supply countries in Africa and the Middle East.

3. China must win the unavoidable arms race in this Cold War Two. The USA collapsed the USSR in towards the end of the Cold War by outspending the USSR and forcing them to drain their treasuries in order to sustain their weapons development program, essentially bankrupted the nation. Now, thanks to the virtue of having the 2nd largest nominal GDP and largest GDP PPP in the world, China should do the exact reverse against the "wolves" and come out on top of the struggle, should China aims to regain her historical top position in the world stage, while letting those "wolves" consume themsleves to death in the process.

4. China must silently and rapidly expand her nuclear arsenal, best if they can rapidly produce enough warheads that would ensure the destruction of every major population centers plus military projection sources of these "wolves". The meager 350 nuclear warheads that China is estimated to operate is far from enough to ensure that these "wolves" would get away with their crimes and wrongdoings against the rest of the world without any serious repercussions.

5. China must become more proactive and aggressive in her foreign policies with the rest of the world. China can no longer claim to "not seeking hegemony", as all superpowers and aspiring superpowers cannot escape from having their own respective hegemony, at least regionally. Despite of this, the key glaring difference between China and the Sam-led "wolves" that China should seek after is to become an inclusive and responsible hegemony power, and not the "slaves and master" version like those "wolves".

6. China must be capable of exerting her own financial and economic power on the world stage. The most obvious reason why the "wolves" are able to fake calling themselves as though they are representing the "international community" in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War is because they have a large economic power. China, in retrospect, should take appropriate and signficant measures in order to counter these "wolves" and make her voices louder and more dominant on the world stage.

7. China must fight to win the hearts and minds of the rest of the world. This is particularly true for the people, and not just the government. A government without the support of the people is just as good as having no government at all. And China would certainly need to conquer these two domains in order to further strengthen her backing on the international arena in the face of increasingly ruthless assaults by those "wolves".

8. China must render as much vital basic necessities that are key to national survival as self-sufficient as possible. Considering how free-handed the Sam-led "wolves" are in enacting and imposing sanctions and embargoes on entities and countries that do not fit their "worldview", with China being on the receiving end of such treatements for God-Knows-How-Many-Times. In lieu of this, it should be in the best interests for China and the Chinese people to render themselves as sanction-proof and emabrgo-proof by the "wolves" as as possible. This is not just for China, but for any other country in the rest of the world that goes opposite to the "wills and wishes" of the "wolves".

9. China must be prepared for various kinds of worst-case scenarios. Keys includes economic, society, food and water reserves, national survival, key industries and infrastructure, etc. Conventional, biological, chemical, nuclear, cyber, psychological warfares must all be taken into account and be prepared to defend against, in order to ensure the survival and continuation of the entire nation and its people in a post-apocalypse world caused by the "wolves".

China as a civilization state has survived multiple decimation and destruction ever since its inception more than 2500 years ago. I damn hope that I will not be the one to see the end of it - alongside which, the rest of humanity.

(I am having a headache right now, thus I do apologize if my writing sounds gibberish)

I thought IK was more a liberal minded Western-leaning president. When he first assumed office, that's what I heard from news.

I remember reading articles and comments of people having deep concern that he's office will see a worsening of relations with China and capitulating to India.

Now he is an "Islamic extremist" and an "enemy of India"?!? lol
That's what he was until the moment he decided to be neutral in the Russia-Ukraine war. In the England the most famous thing he was known for was his cricket career and the cancer hospital he created after his mother died of it. They didn't even care about him being pro-China.

I think he show some politicial inexperience that made things worse for him, like being pictured with Putin and shaking his hand on the day of the invasion....lol

Judging by that picture of the rally a few days ago I'm sure he'll be back in power soon and Pakistan will be even more anti-western.

What I fear is what will happen next. This has the potential of descending into civil war or a martial law imposed by the military. Everything have been a mess there, regardless of the outcome the instability suits US' interest and damages China's interest.

Worst case would be something like a Myanmar style military coup, not sure if that could happen though. It's messed up that America can come to China's geopolitical sphere and do something like this yet lecture China on democracy and human rights.

What America probably did was exactly what they did to Serbia. Serbia is the most pro-Russian country in the world, and even they've been forced to turn pro-NATO.

The vast majority of Pakistan's exports go to the west. If they were sanctioned they would turn into Afghanistan overnight. They probably said, "we don't care about your business with China or the Taliban, but you need to cancel the deal you made with Russia".

America and NATO are trying everything they can to exhert economic pressure on Russia. I can't stress I've never seen a situation like this before. They spent 40 years sanctioning and demonising Iran, they've overturned that in a month to try to get them on board. It's like they've forgotten everything - Islamic terrorism, China, North Korea, and are doing everything they can to hurt Russia. They are fighting for survival.

The only lesson for China is to prepare for economic decoupling from the west sooner than expected. It would be economic suicide for America to do so, but it could happen if things don't go their way with Russia.

Well if they managed to take Pakistan off, they still have like 2/3 of the world's countries to coerce. And we are already seeing workarounds for the sanction, with the oil company Shell selling Russian oil through a loophole of keeping their oil blend 49.99% Russian and 50.01% other oil. I think in a few months, where countries will start experience massive inflation from high food prices and energy prices, they would either give themselves an off-ramp or secretly buy from Russia anyways.

That's why I don't see how they will be able to successfully do the same strategy with China, which is magnitudes harder challenge than Russia, whilst holding on to their unity in sanctions and restrictions without ending up creating workarounds like we're seeing slowly do now.

I refuse to believe that. That is just psyops.

There was this story, maybe I read it here, that someone in Texas was saying that for some people living in Texas, due to the supply chain disruption, this would be the first time in their lives they would walk into a store and not find what they are looking for.

The horror!

It is sort of like the situation from the Vietnam War for the Americans. The Americans wanted to expand the war, big time! But they tired to do that in Korea, and we know what happened there. So there was this constrain.

The Americans still went full out to fight that war, but probably held back due to geopolitical reasons and domestic reasons. The North Vietnamese recognized that, and played along. Eventually the NVA with their tactics were good enough to render everything the Americans did to be ineffective. All their fire power and big plans, turned out all half-ass kind of plans. When you do things half-ass, we do not do enough. That was the Vietnam War. They could not do enough because everything turn out half-ass for the Americans over there in Da Nang.

Today, the Americans want to decouple from China. However, this is not to suggest it will be a complete decoupling. The Americans still want to make China follow the rules of the road, and re-balance their trade relationship. And when that does not go as planned, the Americans will sanction China, then insist China does more to improve the trading relationship by buying more American products.

This is just like the Vietnam War, except the half-ass part is by design this time.

Still will not work.

When does doing things half-ass work? The Vietnam War, it was inadvertent (hey! no one controls the battlefield). Here today regarding China trade, it is by design.

The Chinese negotiators are in danger of going blind because they rolled their eyes too much.

:eek::rolleyes::cool:

Can anyone explain what in the world is going on in Shanghai?

Why is there so many video circulating around where people has not received enough food distribution during quarantine?

Why is the situation in Shanghai getting worse over the past week?

Why is the food supply and distribution situation in Shanghai seemed to be poorly managed and conducted?

What is the Shanghai government even doing to address the problem?
