Pakistani history, Myanmar and ASEAN has shown the futility of this idea. I rather think US wants pro-US generals in charge again. As with any military junta, these guys know that their positions will be precarious, hence they will drum up nationalist hysteria, putting Pakistan into conflict with India. China might end up being dragged into it, and America will achieve the goal of bleeding India and China dry to the last Pakistani. This will create a rift in the non-Western bloc, which currently overwhelmingly support Russia. Russia will be economically ruined. American hegemony survives another century. 3 birds with one stone.
IK came to office because he had public support ofcourse but millitary supported him too
Here they stopped supporting and let democracy happen (his position in parliament was very week)
As soon as that support was lifted his hardcore people started blaming them for not supporting him
Whenever millitary interferes or says something- mostly do when they have public support to do so
Here they wanted to cut down Thier role but politicians pull them back in, whenever even dictatorship happens public welcomed them and wanted them involved
It's not like the stereotypical role if oppression or something but more like public expect them to play a role, for better or for worse
So millitary will never go against public opinions, when it does (rarely)voting process within the institution pulls them back out of it
So it's not like stereotypical junta or something in that way, idiotic hyper IK supporters are painting them as some sort of lackeys just because they stopped supporting them and let nature prevail (IE parliament)
