Nations including South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam also account for significant trade through these waters and it must also be kept in mind that each of these nations count China as their main trade partner.

…much of the Western Pacific, from the Yellow Sea to the South China Sea, could become hazardous for commercial sea and air transport. Sharply reduced trade, including energy supplies, could harm China’s economy disproportionately and badly.

This suggests very hazardous airspace and sea space, perhaps ranging from the Yellow Sea to the South China Sea. Assuming that non-Chinese commercial enterprises would rather lose revenue than ships or planes, the United States would not need to use force to stop trade to and from China. China would lose a substantial amount of trade that would be required to transit the war zone.
And this is why their strategy is delusional, and why ASEAN doesn't want to be on-board with the US in destabilizing the region. The US does understand that this is going to destroy every one of the allies in the region economically right? China's growth will be slowed, at a massive loss for US trade, reputation and some of their military assets. There are still land borders China can rely upon for trade and ways to trade by proxy through it.

If this plan gets executed, it amounts to declaring war on China. Do they seriously expect it will be isolated in the region? Naval mines will be setup, submarines will be active, undersea cables will be cut, there's a lot of ways China could hurt US economically and militarily. On the diplomatic front, the countries affected by making the region more hazardous to conduct trade will grow ever resentful towards US and would turn to China's side in order to stabilize the region.

Their attempts are pathetic, idiotic and futile, It will be better for them to keep the status quo of control over those country through military and economic cooperation. I don't understand why they have a bloody obsession with using hard military power in solving everything. when they could have invested all the money wasted in military from the last two decades into technologies that will ensure their tech and market dominance, giving them respect and control over the world. I'm blaming all the lead poisoning those boomers have during in childhood, and now who are in power.

In addition, the researchers found, 90% of children born in the U.S. between 1951 and 1980 had blood-lead levels higher than the CDC threshold. On average, early childhood exposure to lead resulted in a 2.6-point drop in IQ per person.

Lieutenant General
Remember that the Biden regime is increasing military spending by 4%? Well, a former Obama administrator who vehemently opposed universal healthcare just found out that he could no long afford his med!

Doubly ironic as I’m sure more than one person would have asked him if he was off is meds to take that cruel ideological extremists view, now he really is off his meds.

Karma slaps hard and has a sense of humour.

South Korea responds to Pyongyang's insult

Kim Yo-jong had called Seoul’s defense minister a ‘scum-like guy’

Seoul has “strongly” urged Pyongyang against escalatory rhetoric and actions, after the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un lashed out against the country’s defense minister, calling him a “confrontation maniac.”

“The Ministry of Unification clearly points out that North Korea should not cause additional tension on the Korean Peninsula in any case,”
the inter-Korean affairs ministry's spokesperson, Lee Jong-joo,

on Monday, according to Yonhap.

However, despite a series of harsh statements over the weekend, the two sides reportedly had a phone call via the inter-Korean liaison office at 9am Monday, as planned.

On Sunday, Kim Yo-jong, who is a key adviser to her brother Kim Jong-un and serves as a member of North Korea’s State Affairs Commission, blasted South Korean Defense Minister Suh Wook as a senseless “scum-like guy” and a “confrontation maniac.” She also warned Seoul that it “may face a serious threat” due to Suh’s “reckless remarks.”

The defense minister spoke on Friday about South Korea’s military readiness amid recent provocations from Pyongyang, saying Seoul can “accurately and swiftly strike any targets” in the North. He also noted South Korea’s ability to carry out precision strikes on the “origin of any attack and its command and support facilities.”

The heated exchange took place in the wake of Pyongyang’s test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile last month. South Korea has responded to the ICBM launch by touting its military capabilities, test-firing multiple missiles and showcasing its F-35 jets in a training exercise.
