Yeah, i think its to line their pockets and shrug at the outcome of their decision. If the "Freedom world" , you can totally screw up, get people killed or bankrupt, at worst you don't get re-elected and work for a private firm that has gov intrest and make more than your salary in government.

To Republicans human rights is all about forcing Christian values. The history of the Republican Party is a joke when it comes to human rights. They have a history of believing in white supremacy and by its nature they want to violate human rights to achieve that. They think just because they can say it, it must be true in their heart because God would've struck them down with lightning if they were lying. That's a theme among Americans like when they watch and read TV news and media and when they like something said, to them if it were a lie, there's some authority that will prevent them from lying to the public so it must be be true.
This is all about forcing Christian values onto China and therefore they will be in control of China. Freedom of religion is a part of human rights. The Republicans just don't tell everyone that Christianity is the only religion you're free to choose from. That's how they put it under the guise of human rights. It's like when the alt-right says their freedom of speech is being violated when anyone dares to counter them. They think freedom of speech is no one can question what they have to say or else their rights have been violated. That means they only have the right to free speech and everyone else has to shut up and say nothing. It's no different from how they cry they believe in democracy but they had slaves violating people's human rights at the same time.

The US thinks the world is dumb. Whether it's Great Britain going to Saudi Arabia or Japan offering a loan infrastructure alternative to Belt and Road for developing countries, everyone else knows the US is behind it thinking showing a different face makes it not the US pulling the puppet strings. All the dumb countries have already chosen the West.
What the f does that even mean? Only do business with countries you are lording over, and also if China was changed into the chaotic, special-interest infested, American influenced governments; which is essentially demanding for regime change. That provision alone contradicts what Biden had expressed to Pres. Xi in stating that the U.S. isn't seeking a change of government in China both in substance, and style.

Yet, this scammer, fraudster, and utterly shameless corrupt Anglo-Saxon American, he was voted first as a Governor of the geriatric capital state of Florida, and then became an elected U.S. Senator. I bet that there's a considerable faction within China that do want to bring American style government so that they too can plunder China, embezzle regular Chinese folks, and still able to retain considerable amount of power, money, and influence. China would be undone if that scenario was ever allowed to occur.
