Exactly. Contrary to western delusions, having a friendly Russia is more important than being friends with the West

With an enemy West, China can survive.
With an enemy Russia, China will either not survive or suffer extremely huge damage.

No matter what the West says, it will never be worth it for China to betray Russia

Ironically, it puts China in the best position. There is a reason why the West is scared shitless of Russia strong relations with China. The whole western plan in the South/East China sea is to blockade China from getting resources in the event of a conflict but Russia throws a huge wrench into their machine. Due to the West cutting off Russia, they no longer have any reason to listen to the West since their future is now Eastward.

MARTIN JACQUES on U.S. two cardinal errors regarding Russia

British scholar Martin Jacques told CGTN Host Tian Wei that after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, American hubris led to two fundamental errors: one being that the U.S. believed that it was the SOLE SUPERPOWER; the other was treating Russia as a DEFEATED COUNTRY. (2022-03-18)

Can't stop winning

Let’s take energy first. What do soaring prices mean for investors?

China is the big winner. In September, China’s leadership said we are entering an energy crisis and reopened coal mines. Coal is the cheapest way to produce electricity, and the guy with the cheapest cost of electricity typically wins [economically].
And better yet, for the Chinese, Russian energy is going to settle in renminbi or gold, not dollars.
Why is that so important?

For years, China had to earn US dollars first to buy energy. The Chinese stockpiled dollars. Now, they don’t need to do that because they are producing domestic coal—priced in renminbi—and they can buy energy from Russia, priced in renminbi that they can just print. In essence, their energy cost is almost free. If China doesn’t need US dollars, does it care about having a positive trade balance with the US through which to generate excess dollars? It doesn’t, so the renminbi could go much higher.
What role do you see China playing in the war?

Having Russia and the Western world at each other’s throats works well for China because they aren’t occupied [with China]. I don’t see why the Chinese would feel a need to stop this. If the embargo of Russia can last forever, so much the better for them. It also helps them internationalise the renminbi. Once China buys all of Russia’s oil and natural gas and coal in renminbi, it is going to turn to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia and say, “We like your oil so much better than Russia’s.

, we could do more business.” If you are Saudi Arabia and your biggest client would like to do more business, you have to at least think about it. This is playing into China’s hand.

Facepalm. They have comedians in office in Ukraine and the US too apparantly...

But seriously, this is one of the top things I don't like about the US. They can sanction China; they can threaten to attack us, arm our foes, all that. It's to be expected of an enemy and China expects to attack and be attacked at all angles in our bid for the most powerful nation. I can even accept that the US has run out of power and needs to rally 30 goons to help it fight since that is actually a tool that it possesses. But it's this weird shit of asking for favors, mixed with threats and odd things like this that disgusts me. We're in the ring ready to go; kicking, punching, knees, elbows, throws, jiujitsu, even eye-poking/low blows, we can do all that. But don't make it weird by throwing 2 punches then stripping, getting on the ground, rolling around in nasty poses saying, "I love you; I wanna build a future together with you." Get back up, throw a kick, before showing nuts, "Touch it, please. I love it when you touch me." The US needs to stop being disgusting and fight like a man.
Thanks for the visuals. That is just disgusting.

"EU leaders have very reliable evidence that China is considering providing military aid to Russia. All the leaders are very aware of what’s going on," the senior EU official said on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak publicly about confidential information.
"We are concerned about the fact that China is flirting with the Russians," he added. The EU will "impose trade barriers against China" should Beijing proceed with Russia's request, he said, as "this is the only language Beijing understands."
We stopped flirting with Russia a long time ago. We are married now

We may occasionally look at other countries for a little fun to ignite some passion but deep inside we know who is our true love partner

Biden and Xi are on phone now. I don't expect any surprise.

A failure for Russia in Ukraine would be worse for China than for Russia: Russia can change side, China cannot.

The West is not stupid, what they are hoping for is a quagmire Ukraine, a losing Putin, and a United West front to force China to abandon Russia. China cannot afford to let Putin lose.
