Good luck with that because this is one the cases when U.S. Foreign policy will blowback to them, it will take a few years of investment in Iran and Venezuela oil production to fill the Russian void, in the meanwhile we are doomed.

I'm gonna stuff a gold brick up my butt as an emergency measure.

Ain't gonna be queuing for no breadlines.

Gold is the best hedge against inflation.

Russia's gold reserves should be mostly (all?) stored in Russia. Russia is one of the world's largest gold mining nations.
Basically when the Russians had lots of foreign reserves they had no use for they just bought their own gold with them.
Last summer Chinese RMB and Gold make up 50% of Russian welfare fund. i think later in winter they may changed the structure further towards Gold and RMB. as RMB keep increasing even with higher raw material prices.

China 'prepared for' S.Korea power shift

Wang Junsheng, a research fellow of East Asian studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, told the Global Times on Tuesday that the negative sentiment against China among South Korean youth was caused by multiple reasons.

"Due to the anti-China propaganda warfare launched by the US since the Donald Trump era, China's image has been demonized in many countries allied with the US. Given the bad economic situation in South Korea, the youth are suffering from unemployment and low-income, for which they vent their frustrations on China," Wang said.

This article kind of summaries China & South Korean relations for the last 30 years.

The only difference now is that China is no longer in the rear view mirror for Korea, it may be the other around. Seeing that, that makes the Koreans a little more uptight.

Just give them space, and leave them alone. They will not be going anywhere or doing anything too drastic. They will calm down and come to their senses eventually.

They already did. China signed a comprehensive trade and investment deal with Iran a couple years back. Then, I think it was a year ago, both China and Iran signed a military and security deal. Iran also signed to join SCO that same year.

I think the US will find out most of the Iranian oil has already been spoken for.
Stable genius Trump screwed that one up.
