Quite frankly, European nations got their students and citizens out weeks before the invasion. I don't know if this a 5D chess move by Xi to have 'plausible deniability' of Putin invasion plans, but as a Superpower-to-be, China needs to up it's game. I suggest sending one of those 'Chubby girl' Y-20s to rescue students like a Boss, don't rely on unreliable charter flights or buses like some weak African or Indian country.

More like Chinese people will not really understand the west.

This war is rooted in the past, that ugly history of World War One.

They never learned. This is an European and Western failure to put it mildly. On this point, this has taken the Chinese completely off guard.

It is what Lee Kwan Yiu said, that the grandson will not listen to their grandfather. It is a new generation. What we see in Europe today, is the same war from World War One, the factors leading to it.

Nationalism still a force in the world today.

Some places have been able to tame those nationalistic impulses better than other places.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -Victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks asked a U.S. judge to order the seizure of Iranian crude oil from a tanker owned by an American private equity firm, to help satisfy a $3.61 billion judgment against Iran over the attacks.

The request came in filings on Thursday with the U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

Dozens of attack victims and their families said the Suez Rajan, owned by Los Angeles-based Oaktree Capital Management and idling in Southeast Asia, appeared to be carrying up to 1 million barrels of Iranian oil, violating U.S. sanctions.

They said the oil should be sold to help cover their February 2018 judgment against Iran over that country's providing material support to al-Qaeda related to the attacks. Iran has long denied such claims.

Oaktree has about $166 billion of assets under management.

Its London-based Fleetscape unit, which provides lease financing for the Suez Rajan, in a statement on Friday said it was committed to honoring U.S. sanctions, took accusations of violations seriously, and was cooperating with U.S. authorities.

The request came after the nonprofit United Against Nuclear Iran, which uses satellite images to track tanker movement, wrote Oaktree on Feb. 15 that the Suez Rajan appeared to have taken on the oil from another tanker.

Even if the oil were seized, sales proceeds at current prices would cover only about 3% of the $3.61 billion judgment.

This is insane and basically theft. Will anyone hold these crooks and this mafia state accountable?

Lenovo has become a disgrace. Its dependency on the West, the US in particular, for technologies and markets has not changed much since the trade war started. The company is like a pig waiting for the slaughter house.
What's the remote possibility that the owner of Lenovo is a western white worshipping boar? Lol

Can you explain where else they would get the technology like chips?

China planned for this long ago by banning many of them
I bet unless the US passes a law preventing American companies from doing business with China very few will even leave if China invades Taiwan. But be assured the Republicans will be pushing to do to China what the West is doing now to Russia and without any invasion of Taiwan.

Are they going to seized Japanese and South Korean assets because of COVID-19...?

Lenovo like ASML is just a systems integrator... without Intel/AMD chips, Samsung SSD/NVMe drives/memory, and Windows 10/11 operating systems, it is nothing and has nothing...
A garbage company. They provide zero technological or industrial value. Every component they use for their products is foreign sourced. What for national technological or industrial value is there in Lenovo... Their headquarters blast it to smithereens with dynamite on Chinese New Year.

I am honestly embarrassed to say that Lenovo is a Chinese company.

Tell me about any other company and I will proudly say "This is a Chinese company!".
Ask me about Lenovo and I will be looking for somewhere to hide from embarrassment.

I can confidently say that among the "high-tech" companies, Lenovo is probably the most garbage of them
