When the US abandoned Ukraine, "Taiwan is not Ukraine!"

I'm sure there are more examples.
They are right. Taiwan is not any of those situations. Those are all recent. The Taliban and Russia have not spent generations singularly focused on winning that fight.

China, on the other hand...

I am not sure why Taiwan think they are more important than UKraine. Taiwan tech is going to be replaced across EU and US.
I doubt Ukranian quality agriculture land can be replaced. it need investment. you buy phone once several year but you eat food every day. Taiwan has trade deficits with Western Oriented countries. Ukraine trade deficits coming Russia/Belarus. i even think its a land dispute over food.

@BlackWindMnt bro most Filipinos are patriots, you yourself had live here and you know how beautiful this country is, the people are so Fxxkingly friendly that they are willingly accept abuse and be tormented as long as economic opportunities are there for their family. BUT there is a limit and that's Their Dignity!

No one's know the future. But we do know china mainland is very consistent in their stance towards tw. There is absolutely every chance of an invasion if tw declares formal independence or a redline has been crossed. That much is certain. It is even formulated into law with the anti secession law during Hu's era if I'm correct. Which is to put the ball into the tw separatists court. It's their call, if they fuck up, they had it coming.

Now this is the last resort, china has always maintained this. So yes, china does not want war but they definitely preparing for it cuz it might come to that.
