A senior Iranian security official said on Monday that progress in talks to salvage Iran's 2015 nuclear deal was becoming "more difficult" as Western powers only "pretended" to come up with initiatives.

"The work of Iranian negotiators towards progress is becoming more difficult every moment... while Western parties 'pretend' to come up with initiatives to avoid their commitments," Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said on Twitter.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's envoy to the talks in Vienna, said on Twitter hours earlier: "Significant progress has been made in the course of negotiations."

Doesn’t seem like negotations will be finalizing this month. Progress is questionable as well. Iran saying US is stringing them along with fake promises meanwhile the Russians are saying the opposite that a lot of progress was made during that meeting.

As a matter of curiosity, just how bad are things going to get if the USA commits to a false flag operation that gets Russia to respond but the whole stupid scheme gets found out very early (given how bazenly that USA is telegraph such an even via the way they are literally striping Ukraine of all of their staff and basically leave Ukraine to burn).

China had also come out and "encouraged" Iran to respond positively...

Iran should understand that the US is a superpower. Even if morally wrong for breaking an agreement, so what? Iran is Iran and the US is a superpower.

Superpowers can break agreements. Anyway, its up to Iran on what to do..
