Agreed. Sounds like a bs deal only made for Russia to save face.

What remains to be seen is if Putin agrees. If he does then this means that he is in position of weakness and he wants to back down.
If he doesn't agree, it means that Russia is still confident on pursuing its goals

Putin and Shoigu will attend the Olympics, so I expect things to freeze in current status quo for some time. There is also going to be a bilateral meeting between Xi and Putin, I think they will coordinate the response.

I dont know why but i got the feeling that there could be a suprise signing of Power of Siberia 2.

It sure would send a big message, and it would also serve Chinese energy needs for the coming decades.

Win-win. The sticking point is probably the price, but with Biden knocking on his door, Putin might have to take a step back and allow cheap prices

p.s. I guess after the above tweet many Die PeePee supporters came to that video vandalizing it because CCTV allows the comments there -- it indeed just need to switch off the comment for that particular video in that case!

Assuming this is true, would any company or government trust this engineer who defected because he was passed over for a promotion? How are they going to stop him from defecting to their competitors with their secrets? His real love could be Kabaddi....?
