Saying it to be US-funded would be an overreach imo. It is an legit academic report with Chinese academia from Peking university. This just means there's nothing to lose by using whatever means necessary, instead of considering PR.
That is pure opinion. The funding of IISS and travel activities of their editors should be investigated.
Internal foes must also be removed.China needs to decouple from West and especially US in both tech and broader commerce.
In the post peak energy age of deminishing EROEI, China making and shipping real goods and products to US in exchange for margin returns on less than worthless hostile US hegemonistic dollars being quantitatively expanded to infinity (monetized the debt) is the worse possible situation....
In this new world of negative sum games, America is leverage tech sanctions to try to pull the rug out from underneath China's value chain ascension...
China needs to counteract by cutting America off first (medicine, rare earths, and trade in general) in this Squid Game of Last Man Standing
Saying it to be US-funded would be an overreach imo. It is an legit academic report with Chinese academia from Peking university.
However, keep in mind, IISS’s report is not the only one out there. And the institution itself is not the most tech-oriented one as well. I have a feeling that this SCMP editor chose this specific report to express her own opinion more or less. (Since no mentioning of other institutions’ reports on this topic were mentioned in her SCMP piece)
Also, this SCMP editor is definitely biased in her opinion towards mainland China. (Search her twitter account and you will see why)
why you think there estimation will be way off?.have pointed out that according to the estimation of Turkish authority, what you said is not true. But you kept saying otherwise. And you are saying NOW that "already exceeding Germany". How do you come to this conclusion? Do you know something that the Turkish authority does not know?
Turkey imported 48.1 bcm of gas last year, 6% up from a year before, a third of which came from Russia.
Gazprom on Monday said its natural gas exports to Turkey soared by 110.4% year-on-year from January through October of this year.
Those are estimates not actual consumptions. Actual daily consumptions is much higher than estimates. we already know that Auto production is far lower due to chip shortage. and Turkey does not make electric vehicles nor Turkey receives Chinese trains daily like Germany. so electronic component shortage in Turkey will be much higher than Germany. we can safely conclude that Turkey has surpassed Germany in consumption.
Istanbul is European Airport as it is designed to serve Europe. does not matter where it is located.
Because I trust Turkish authority knowing better of themselves more than you do? Just tell me, who are you to make such bold statement.why you think there estimation will be way off?.
in year 2020 there total imports were 48bcm. about third from Gazprom. which will be 16bcm.
Gazprom saying that by October. they already at 110%. which means atleast 30bcm imports by October of 2021. Gazprom is usually around 1/3 for Turkey. so we can expact Turkey surpassing Germany.
You are basically clucthing straws.ecause I trust Turkish authority knowing better of themselves more than you do? Just tell me, who are you to make such bold statement.
specifically, Gazprom increased its gas supplies to Turkey (+83.7 per cent), Germany (+16.8 per cent), Italy (+19.5 per cent), Romania (+221.8 per cent), Serbia (+85.8 per cent), Bulgaria (+43.8 per cent), Poland (+7.5 per cent), Greece (+12.2 per cent), Slovenia (+53.9 per cent), and Finland (+9.1 per cent).
just add one thing to prediction. If Germany economy become so small relative to others. than Russia will completely ban any exports to it. they did this with Ukraine.This..
I have known it for years that Turkey will overtake germany with time and so did many insiders.. The consumption will even widen further.. The GDP PPP shows some hints about it and this estimates were pre-covid but still everyone is on track but delayed between 2 to 3 years due to covid..
Alot of ppl got caught up in the lira debacle few months which is resolved now and it was the government behind the devaluation but due to media pressure had to reverse it and the idea behind it was to increase export and minimize import to very low numbers this would have been huge victory in the long term but alarmist media ruined all of that with the pressure and they had to abort plan.. Turkey wants to limit imports by alot and they can't put huge tariffs on trade partners without backlash and tit for tat hence the devulation was the route but due to media it is also off the plan or atleast now as the president wants to get re-elected but he has to find other methods doing a china by counter-feit everyting is not a bad idea.. China even kicked out uber after few months and quickly put a local counter-feit uber in place and I have seen some diss this tactics not realizing how massive game changer it is meaning you are keeping all the money inside,.. Probably one of the biggest success story in china.. if Turkey creates this tactics to butcher imports or half it then her economy could even double up..
The reason turkey out runs germany eventually on all estimates comes down to geolocation Turkey is in the heart of the world literally a central point of the world
