Which is why it cracks me up when Western dummies on social media like Reddit tries to ridicule China's so-called "impending population decline" when their respective countries are in the actual worst off situation. They love to mention immigration but from which country? Africa? Lol European countries aren't keen on accepting more Africans into their utopian lands. Indians and or other Asian groups? Which is why I had started to realize that the collective west has lost their minds and that their place in the world has become less secure and they're threatened from this coming change that they're fast becoming unhinged, unreasonable, and deranged.
There probably wont' be any African or Indian immigrants by 2100, since their birthrates well have hit the fertility transition window well before then.

Europe hopes you're right, otherwise if Africa remains economically depressed or underdeveloped your hope is pinned on a projected number of a continental population that's still dwarfs that of Europe. Unless European hedonistic culture actually decides for themselves that their future lies firmly in their hands by making babies the traditional way then I don't put a lot of stock in placing your bet on the probability of others whom they have no control over. Unless, western countries manage to firmly convince their society of adopting a post nation state which essentially doing away with the old order or concept of nation state along with that is the traditional culture and history which somehow means Human nature has evolved the issue of African migration to Europe will remain.

2100 is way too far in the future for us to make estimates.

4th Industrial Revolution, AI (probably real AI...), nuclear fusion, revolution in pharmaceuticals, climate change affecting the world, space industry, brain-AI possible fusion etc

There are so many disruptive technologies coming up that it is simply impossible to predict what could happen more than 50 years in the future

Just AI or nuclear fusion alone could radically change human civilisation

This Russian senator echoes exactly what I told the peasants in this forum..

I said the issues was based on Russia finding out about the US long term game and manuvers from its positioning including the massive war games conducted last year in East Europe gave the Russians some insights as to what the US long term stragetic planning may look like as the drills were extremely massive in scale..

The beef is about Russia wanting to redirect them elsewhere but it was unsuccessful because that is there home-base. Putin escalated on purpose because he wants to redirect them elsewhere from his borders fully knowing their long term intention and stragetic doctrine. Putin knows that this is a predator, a calculative and ambitious one and he understands if they breed on that ground nothing good comes out of it

Peace with US only possible after ‘new world order’ – Putin ally

2022 is a year for crisis between Moscow and Washington, according to one of Russia’s most senior senators

Hopes that rock-bottom relations between Moscow and Washington can be turned around are unlikely at present, a top Russian politician has claimed, arguing that only when a new world order is established will there be less conflict between the two states.

Speaking as part of an interview with Ukraina.ru earlier this week, Aleksey Pushkov, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, who previously served as chairman of the State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee, cast his view on the current power dynamic on the world stage.

“The US is a hegemon that is gradually losing its position in the world,” he claimed. “They suffered a very serious defeat in the Middle East, they lost Syria, they lost the battle for Afghanistan, they were forced to withdraw almost all of their troops from Iraq at the end of 2021.”

According to the Russian senator, US officials “are trying to maintain their dominant influence by having conflicts simultaneously with Russia and China, although with different degrees of intensity.” Pushkov noted that this creates a nervous environment both in America and the rest of the world.

“The US no longer treats us as a secondary power,” he explained. “They treat us as a paramount power, which is why they cite Russia, not China, as one of the main problems facing the Biden administration in 2022.” Pushkov warned that it will be “a year of crisis between Washington and Moscow.”

“As I understand it, they now want to solve the ‘Russian problem,’ that is, to subjugate practically all of Europe, pushing Russia to its very outskirts,”
he said. “This is exactly what they need Ukraine for. The next phase will be a political or even military confrontation with China.”

Pushkov added that America’s political and financial elite “believe that they are the only ones who can run the world,” and do not intend to let anyone else take the helms. “So, until a new world order is established in which the US is weaker and its role is diminished, we will be in more or less acute political conflict with them.”

His remarks come amid an increasingly tense stand-off between East and West, with senior American officials accusing Moscow of amassing troops and hardware near the Ukrainian border ahead of an invasion. Last week, Biden threatened to hit Russian President Vladimir Putin with sanctions like “he’s never seen” before in the event of an incursion, which the Kremlin has repeatedly denied having any plans of staging.

Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, warned against a move such as this earlier this month, stating that “the imposition of sanctions against the head of state and against the leader of Russia … is a measure that is comparable to severing relations.”

"Peasants on this forum" you okay in the head OH mighty one? Your analysis of the situation contradicts what Putin and Labrov has been expressing since Putin speech in Munich conference of 2007. He's been steadfast on his warning or NATO EXPANSION a promise that keeps getting ignored and broken into many pieces.

Your assumptions is jaundiced by other factors that clearly us "peasants and peons" are not privy to.

OMG, it's an actual article? I thought it was just a parody!

ROFL, that lovely tradition of being cramped on a train for three days just to go home every year.

Ok, I have seen this go semi-viral and have to point out that this is a travel column. If you actually read the article, it is one of those overly romanticizing the past type articles like “The lost art of cobblers” or “the disappearing VHS tape”. It’s not really a criticism of China. If anything it goes against the common “cultural genocide” narrative of minorities by describing traditional clothing worn on the train and different dialects heard.

Pretty sure slow trains are still running, lol.

you use the word massive. i am not sure what is your definition of massive.
its conflict between Russia vs German engineering the rest is just byproduct of it. beneath the surface it is all related.
. German engineering was lucky as it was not constrained by communism and world population was small
Kurdistan is only place where Russia gave upfront money. they know where to built relationships. and decline of Germany can create opening to Constantinople.

Turkey tried to make Germanic engineering work. with help of external monetary resources. those resources are drying out .Turkey only 10 or so A400 and already a maintenance center. it is like buy few Mercedes cars and than get Mercedes service center.

I see that part ''peasants'' didn't sit well with you but don't worry 99% of the world are peasants unless you are part of the 1% elite and you are not but I am.... Whatever I said was correct
