I see that part ''peasants'' didn't sit well with you but don't worry 99% of the world are peasants unless you are part of the 1% elite and you are not but I am.... Whatever I said was correct
Oh duchess Arnies. Your wisdom is truly benevolent. A visitor request an audience with you at the public forum. I believe he said that his name was Maximilien Robespierre.

Ok, I have seen this go semi-viral and have to point out that this is a travel column. If you actually read the article, it is one of those overly romanticizing the past type articles like “The lost art of cobblers” or “the disappearing VHS tape”. It’s not really a criticism of China. If anything it goes against the common “cultural genocide” narrative of minorities by describing traditional clothing worn on the train and different dialects heard.

China needs to design a slow train specially for the nostalgic American market, complete with the must-have soothing "choo-choo" noise.

Welp time to sharpen the hay forks and prepare the torches. The aristocrats are going crazy again.

So let me get this straight: all the other countries in the region: Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and rest of GCC are all coming to China trying to get some of that sweet infrastructure development going on in their own country.

Meanwhile Israel, who let's say is not on the best of terms with the above mentioned countries and is surrounded by them wants nothing to do with Chinese money and development.

That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for him.
