Who is the "we"? What is the "holy land"? Jerusalem? or Mecca and Medina? What is "our" (your) land? Why Iran being in a Sino-russo alliance a red line of yours, but not Ukraine joining NATO and Taiwan being covered by USA?

You and I can't be mad or lose respect to a person who's family was severely impacted by the excess, yes excess of the cultural revolution. That experience must have been a seminal moment for Dr.Chen a trauma that was etched into his body and soul that his journey into the U.S. is where he thought he found his solace and his home. A country where the promise and allure of justice, fairness, equality and the pursuit of the American dream was what made him believe and probably still do to this very day.

I have yet to read anything about Dr.Chen that he's embarrassed being Chinese or that he's ashamed of his heritage. We have to look at him and situation as a human being first rather than a tool to be used or gained by either country. I of course would love for Dr.Chen to work for China but that has to be on his own accord. But if he never wants to work for China I won't personally hold it against him; my respect for him as a person will actually grow because it means that he's a person of character and integrity. He maybe of Chinese heritage but at the end of the day he's a proud American who believes in the ethos of what his chosen country supposed to stand for. And his loss is not only a loss for America but of our world because he's brilliance in his field of expertise will either be curtailed, diminished and or completely gone.

Actually i kinda feel sorry for him, he is a classic case of someone who suffered battered wife/person syndrome, People living with battered person/wife syndrome may feel helpless. This can cause them to wrongly believe they deserve the abuse and that they can’t get away from it.

I honestly believe he feels he deserved the abuse from being a Chinese descent, especially if what you said is true that he left China during cultural revolution and found his salvation in america only to be betrayed by his adopted country

There are 4 stages of battered wife syndrome, i believe he is at the second stage

1. Denial. The person is unable to accept that they’re being abused, or they justify it as being “just that once.”
2. Guilt. The person believes they caused the abuse.
3. Enlightenment. In this phase, the person realizes that they didn’t deserve the abuse and acknowledges that their partner has an abusive personality.

I can only hope that he finally reach the final stage and decides to leave the relationship

You know what I meant by that no reason to repeat it. I know your not walking this path but if things were that way then the music will play as i described by the way I have nothing against rus it is a fine country.. However not the other one.. no need to push it when i am trying to be polite but if I was being hostile you would know but that is not my intention.. By way that country is on a shxt list nothing will change it if even angles were to descent from skies aiding them we would destroy them..
