With ASKUS Australia wasn't going to get its first sub for like a generation later. It sounded odd from the beginning because anti-submarine tech can change a lot in that time. Really it seems the deal was more just to scare China into submission which is really the only thing the West has without the risk of losing a lot.

I always thought it was a bad idea to sink so much of Australia's resources into one single, highly environment dependent (especially with the proliferation of unmanned systems across all domains) platform when in the very best case scenario, won't enter IOC until 20 years later.

It does have a lot with the USA using Christianity to bash other nations without any consideration that such actions will have consequences, both physical and spiritual. But it doesn't really matter in the end because the end conclusion is that the USA is now ruining itself and that all I am saying is that there will be no force in this world that can save the US hegemony and that any force that could have made the difference have been now driven away from them. Hence I am interested to see how things turn out because this year so far, nothing good has happened to the USA thus far and I predict that things are going to get a whole lot worse

They are decent from a price\performance point of view but nothing unique or irreplaceable. Although that narrative was still a bit more grounded in reality unlike Aussies babbling about commodities and fucking meat being irreplaceable - I get that Australia has trash-tier economic complexity so they kinda had to cope with that and hype up their crap a bit but it was so utterly hilarious that I won't stop mentioning that everywhere - there never was any dependence of China on Lithuania for anything, lol. I mean, these exports were what - $10-20 million in total? That's like pocket change on trade statistics.

His only mistake (for western media) was saying this:
Germany's navy chief stepped down on Saturday after drawing criticism for saying Russian President Vladimir Putin deserved respect and that Kyiv would never win back annexed Crimea from Moscow

He ain't wrong. Putin deserves respect for saving Russia after the SU breakup. And obviously Ukraine will never get back Crimea

For me, the above are the only things that he said that made sense. The rest, were a disaster
